Just had a 4 days at the NH Voltaire Potsdam - a great place, economical yet classy. the room was spacious & decorated beautifully. Located beautifully in Potsdam, a walk from the Palaces, Dutch Quarter & the Old Town is just around the corner. Highly recommended!

The hotel is located in a business area with abundant shops, restaurants and farmers markets. At the street a historic front greets you, as you go through a small arch a thoroughly modern hotel awaits. The NH Voltaire seems like a classic business hotel. Nicely located, smart furnishing, quality amenities, helpful staff. We purposely chose Potsdam to get away from the hustle and bustle of Berlin. Potsdam itself has so much to offer. The hotel itself is not close to the castles per say, maybe a 20 minute walk. We had a car so it was not a problem. The hotel offer parking for 11 Euro a day but we parked it on the street. The rooms are on the smallish side, along the size of a nice New York Hotel. It was equipped with 2 twins pushed together, a desk area, tv, bath with shower, mini bar and closet. We all thought the hotel made nice design choices that gave it the appearance of a more expensive hotel. Our rooms were very quiet. The front desk was immensely helpful and English speaking. Great hotel with a super price at 82 Euro a night.

The hotel sits on one of Potsdam's main streets, but the hotel's rooms face into a small courtyard, and on the whole, it was very quiet given the centrality of the location. The room was on the small side, but tastefully decorated and equipped. Soothing neutral colors in the rooms, towel-warmer in the bathroom, quality down duvets. The sleek styling in the lobby and hip contemporary art in the hallways remind you that you're just in the outskirts of Berlin. Not especially close to the Sans-souci park and palaces (others are closer), but we found the walk through Potsdam's shopping area quite pleasant and not difficult at all. We booked the hotel online, and received an excellent discounted rate. This didn't include breakfast, but there are numerous bakeries on the same block, so this wasn't a problem at all. A lovely place to stay!
