We visited the Comfort in a group and were very well looked after, the staff could not do enough for us. Checking in was easy and efficiently done - does not always happen with coach parties.
Breakfast was good with freshly cooked English breakfast or there were cerials ect if you prefered.
Dinner was a basic Xmas dinner but well cooked and presented, staff were asking if we wanted more and were very efficient.
The room we has was comfortable & much larger than many UK hotels, we were in 304 . Only complaint was the walls are a little thin but beds and facilities are good.

Booked this hotel for a short break with myself and my wife, both in our late 30's, and decided a nationally known hotel would prove the safest best to ensure a clean and confortable hotel.
Stopped in room 101, which is ironic, because it needed sending to 'Room 101' (for those who have seen the tv program). No hot water available on the first night we stopped, according to the reception this was probably due to everyone using the water at the same time ..........yeah right! Rooms are very dated, bathrooms unsightly and falling apart, strange mold growths around the bath, carpet sticky, tv not tuned in poperly, hall outside smells of damp.
We also made the mistake of booking a 'deluxe' room...not sure what was deluxe about ours, other than it had an additional single bed in (suppose would come in use if me and the mrs had a fall out). The room also had an adjoining door to another room, which meant that any conversation or tv in the other room could be heard....and vice versa.
Service at reception was poor, took 40 minutes and 3 reminders to reception to use an iron.....oh and they dont answer the reception phone, on each occassion I had to walk down to reception to ask about where the iron was.
Service at the bar also poor, no one was ever serving and once again a trek was required to the reception to ask if it was possible to get a drink.
Breakfast however was pretty good (dependent upon which staff was on), with a good range available from the buffet.
We never ate there in the evening so cant comment on the food.
In short not worth the £75 a night we paid and wont be stopping again.

Decided to take my 9 yr old daughter away for the night to great yarmouth as we enjoy this seaside resort.
Booked the room on the friday morning for a stay on the friday night.
Location was ideal right opposite the sea life centre and not far from the pleasure beach approx 10 mins walk but everything within walking distance.
Staff seemed helpful and friendly although when checking in we were left waiting a short while as only one behind desk and about 6 of us waiting to be dealt with.
Paid £60 for a double room although it had a double bed in it they called it a single exec! Room could have been a little bit more spacious but it was only for one night so can't complain.
All in all a pleasent stay. breakfast was included in our price but without it its £ 9.25 wasnt the tastiest of food but it was suffice. I wouldnt have paid the asking price for it had it not been included.

As always, first thing you find is if the hotel has good parking facilities. This hotel, no matter what is claimed has four spaces. There are free ones along the road outside, but there were no spaces on even a Sunday when I checked in. In fact during my weeks stay, spaces were like gold dust and inevitably this created some very interestingly parked cars by the more adventurous motorist as well as being blocked in.
We tried to check in at 1pm, but were told we must book in after 2pm. We drove a mile to a supermarket and got some supplies and returned later. Once again the car was left on some double yellows (so we could book in) we booked in a reception. All was fine.
Room was up some stairs and quite a trek with the girlfriend’s extremely heavy case as the hotel is few houses knocked together to create the hotel it is today.
Room was tiny, but quite nice, except for the crayon marks all over one of the walls. Toilet seat was broken, thought the staff did try to fix it with cardboard a few days into my stay. Not ideal obviously. I must also mention the hot water, unlike one of the previous reviews the water was quite simply boiling. There is a small warning sticker, but it is hidden and if you have children, be careful as they will burn themselves as you have to splash between hot and cold to wash your hands.
All the doors on my floor slammed shut and you couldn’t close them quietly no matter what you tired due to the doors hinge so be aware that all times of the day and night you will hear this. Walls are also quite thin.
As reported previously breakfast was good an included within a website booking, rather than going direct which would have been £10 a time each.
Reception wasn’t always manned and at one point I was stood there for a good 20 minutes wanting to get someone to serve me at the bar (which the reception covers as well except at night).
The outside pool was nice for the one day the heater was working before it packed up. It really is too cold to use when this is the case. There is a swimming pool nearby, but that’s £4 at time and why should you when it’s free at the hotel.
Be aware that the dustmen collect about three times a week in one form or another and staff start early chucking bottles away in the bins which is very noisy when you are trying to sleep before 7am in the morning.
Location was excellent, right near the beach, arcades, circus, sea life centre (don’t bother), theatre, swimming pool, near shops, cinema, piers and a must see of the model village, not to mention the rides at either end as well.
Great Yarmouth is windy, so be prepared for that and also a huge amount of walking. But the one big surprise for me (being a city slicker) was the volume of the seagulls, especially at night.

We needed a room in the Great Yarmouth area at pretty short notice. We usually try to stay in B&Bs on short weekend breaks but as time was getting short and availability was low, we booked a room at this hotel.
First impressions were OK. The exterior of the hotel looks like a number of houses have been kjnocked together to form it. Parking is very limited, and since we have a 2-month old baby to cart around, this was problematic. However, there was usually a space to be found if you are prepared to look around the surrounding streets as well.
The lobby is welcoming if a bit dreary. However, the friendly and helpful reception staff more than made up for it. They couldn't have been more helpful. We had some special requirements for baby and they were only too happy to help out.
The bedroom was probably the low point. The room we were in (218) had quite a high ceiling and a single light fitting in the middle, the net effect of which is to make the room appear quite dingy. However, it was comfortable enough and we had just enough space for us and baby. The bathroom was pretty standard, although a proper fitting for the shower head would be appreciated.
The restaurant is one of the best fitted out restaurants I've seen in hotels, and I've spent a lot of time in hotels. It was very clean and surprisingly bright, considering it was below street level. Again, the staff couldn't have been more friendly and helpful, although it would be nice not to have to wait for my fried eggs!
All in all, a very pleasant surprise. I am highly dubious of hotel chains, especially those at the supposedly "lower" end of the market. However, this hotel was very clean and benefited hugely from having great staff and a top quality restaurant. A few more lights and a lick of paint in the bedrooms would only improve it. Oh, and a quicker way of frying eggs...
