We have been to most of the business type hotels in Tel Aviv and have settled on the Intercontinental as our preferred choice - normally stay there every 3 months or so. Basically its a large, international hotel and the public areas reflect this. Generally the standards reflect it too. Some of the staff are a bit less than service orientated, but to a large extent that may be an Israeli rather than an Intercontintal trait.
Rooms are comfortable and on the large side. Dining is good for both the buffet style breakfast and other eating areas, in particular the Aubergine restaurant. As another poster said, if you can get a club room at a reasonable price its worth the extra since you have access to the club lounge with included alcoholic drinks and breakfast, though not as extensive a breakfast as downstairs. The Inca lounge is a nice place to hang out.

Great Hotel. Great location. Pretty good staff (for Israel) Fantastic Bar (Inca) and terrific food - especially the breakfast buffet. Rooms are huge and very comfortable. I have stayed at least 5 times and have always had a room on one of the club floors. worth it if you get a good rate. Last time I checked in the rates seemed much higher to get a club/exec floor room but I still opted for it. The Club floor rooms give you access to the lounge (on 12th floor I think) very relaxing and good array of complimentary foods and beverages.
was nearly going to give 4 stars for one reason - and it is the same every time... when you arrive down for breakfast, it is nice to get a table straight away. Every time I stayed here the same problem arises - there must be too few staff on in the mornings because most of the tables have all been used by 7:30 and have not been cleared. You literally have to wander around and search for a clean table... then wait for your coffee!
I don't think this is something that would ever be a deal-breaker for me so I still give the hotel 5 stars but I hope they improve this one area where they always fall down.

This hotel is not as central as some of the other hotels. It is close to the beach at a quieter area of the City. Other reviews refer to a nightclub nearby, there was a derelict building with some type of bar on the roof, but I could not hear any music etc. The rooms were spacious and the bed very comfortable. There were no balconies (which was a shame) and my main criticism was that the carpets were really dirty. The staff were very helpful and friendly. I found the concierge rather rude and unhelpful- when I asked for a map of Old Jaffa for a visit there, they should have told me that most of it was being dug up - this could have saved us a wasted trip! The food in the hotel was very expensive and breakfast did become boring as it was the same every day. The pool area was nice and especially the kids pool, however the ground should have been cleaned as our feet were black from the dirt!
