Very good location near to water, shops, buses and tourist office. Breakfast excellent and as Norway is expensive it presents a good opportunity to eat well and skip lunch. everything from fruit to fried eggs and every sort of hot and cold drink you could imagine. Room clean, well appointed and enormous linked twin bed. Windows that open and room temperature you can control. Would stay here again.

Rooms disapointingly small, Booked a room with a view which we got but was obscured by a ship taller than the hotel. We could observe everything going on board. Reception told us the ship was staying for at least another week. Planned to stay four nights but moved to the Radisson for the last three nights. Found the hotel somewhat basic and dated. Breakfast was good but thought the hotel lobby was a bit messy and disorganised all day long. The wonders of Tromso over take the experience of this hotel somewhat but for me it is definitely over rated and I wouldn't stay there again. Incidentally the ship pulled out of port the day after we left the hotel.

We arrived late in the evening and were checked-in immediately. The reception was very welcoming and friendly. The receptionist was also knowledgeable and recommended us a good restaurants and also advised u on which buses to take to move around. The hotel is currently renovating all of the rooms, and I requested a renovated room on one of the top floors. We were very pleased with the room. The furniture and design fit very well and were aestethicaly pleasing. The bed was confortable and the bathroom was equipped with a nice shower and felt very clean. The wall mounted LCD TV was surprisingly big considering the room size. Given the set up of the hotel, it seems that 3/4 of the rooms should offer a view of the fjord/mountain. The next morning,the wake up call was right on time and a taxi was waiting for us at the entrance, as requested. Overall, I was very pleased with the hotel. We ate outside, though the hotel offere an appealing room-service menu and also had a brochure for a pizza-delivery place. The main reason I had chosen this hotel was the exectation of nice, renovated rooms, and I was extremely satisfied with them.

Nice hotel with a great view across the bay! The room were spacious with a huge twinbed and flatscreen-tv. We had a room with a great view at the Ishavs-cathedral. Breakfast was included and although they didnt manage completly to refill everything during the busiest times, it was a nice start of the day. The hotel is right downtown and the airport express bus stops right outside the door.
