Cet hotel est un des plus beaux que j'ai pu voir dans le sud de l'Italie!! Il allie luxe et raffinement!! Les décors et le batiment en lui même sont des oeuvres d'art!!! Les chambre sont spacieuses, extrêment bien équipées, cossues... Nous avions une chambre qui ressemblait vraiment à une suite!! Le petit déjeuner buffet est copieux et la salle de restaurant très agréable!!! Si vous êtes dans la région de Naples, n'hésitez surtout pas à vous y rendre!!!!!

Sono ritornato ieri da una breve vacanza di una notte nell’Italia meridionale. Ho raggiunto Napoli in aereo. Fate attenzione se proseguirete in auto dall’aeroporto, la direzione giusta è quella per l’autostrada A3 RO (Roma) – SA (Salerno), sbaglierete se prenderete la tangenziale in direzione centro. L’hotel dista 10 – 15 minuti dall’aeroporto, proseguite sull’A1 in direzione Roma e uscite al Casello di Caserta Sud, proseguite poi in direzione Caserta centro. Non sono rimasto molto colpito, all’arrivo. L’l’hotel è circondato da un’ampia zona industriale e si trova nei pressi dell’autostrada. Mi sono chiesto se avrei dormito sonni tranquilli, quella sera, ma non ci sono stati problemi, l’hotel era ben attrezzato contro i rumori. La mia camera, al secondo piano, si affacciava a sud ovest, era soleggiata e gradevole. Anche il lato che si affaccia sull’autostrada era isolato acusticamente e ho potuto dormire benissimo, più di quanto mi aspettassi da un breve soggiorno con i tempi contati. L’hotel è una vera oasi, con una fontana zampillante nel giardino, un edificio storico da Grand Hotel, una hall stupenda, personale gentile, check-in immediato al mio arrivo, all’1 del pomeriggio. La camera era spaziosa, allestita con gusto e pulitissima. Il bagno non aveva una vasca da bagno, ma c’era una speciale cabina doccia a idromassaggio. Non udivo alcun rumore in provenienza dalle camere sottostanti. La colazione era a buffet e veniva servita nell’edificio sottostante. La varietà era un po’ limitata ma c’era tutto ciò di cui avevo bisogno di primo mattino. Sopra la media per una colazione italiana. Ho effettuato la prenotazione tramite HRS, un tour operator tedesco. Ho pagato 85 euro, con formula B&B. Mi sono messo in viaggio soprattutto per visitare Pompei, che era raggiungibile in circa 20 minuti in auto. Anche Caserta offre molto: ho visitato la Reggia di Caserta, a qualche minuto dall’hotel, sabato mattina, l’altro obiettivo del mio soggiorno. Il Vanvitelli non è l’hotel giusto per una vacanza di relax in piscina, ma è perfetto per visitare, grazie a una posizione molto centrale.

I´ve returned yesterday from a short one-night trip to southern italy. Arrived by plane in Naples. Take care on the way from the airport by car, the right direction is to motorway A3 RO (means Roma) - SA (means Salerno), the tangenziale direction centro is the wrong way. The hotel is 10 to 15 minutes from the airport, use the Caserta sud exit from the A1 direction Roma, directly on the main road to Caserta centro. First I was not impressed when I arrived, the location surrounded by a large industrial area and near the motorway. I thought about how to sleep well this night. But no problem, the hotel was good maintained for this sort of thing. My room, second level, facing the southwestern side, sunny and warm but also the motorway side has a soundproofed window and I slept very well, really more than I want for this short trip and my timetable. It´s like a oasis, a water fountain in the garden area, a typical historic grand hotel building, a impressive hotel lobby, the staff friendly, no time to wait for check in when I arrived at 1 pm. The room large and nice decorated, spotless clean, the bathroom without a bath-tub but with a special shower cabin for massage shower also, ok so far. No noise from the rooms beneath. Breakfast was buffet style in the building beneath, not that much details, but all what I need early in the morning. Above average for a italian breakfast. Booking was done through HRS, a german hotel-consolidator, 85.--EUROs B&B, also ok. My main target for this trip was Pompeji, around 20 minutes by car, Caserta itself has its own attraction, the Reggia di Caserta, my other target for saturday only minutes away. The Vanvitelli is not the place for a pool vacation, but absolutely ok as a central hotel for sightseeing in the area.

Quest'albergo è idealmente situato all'incrocio tra l'A1 e l'A30 ed è perfetto per interrompere il viaggio dal nord al sud d'Italia o per coloro che desiderano visitare Napoli senza stare in città. (È particolarmente indicato se avete noleggiato una macchina dato che credo che le aziende di autonoleggio non siano troppo entusiaste del fatto che guidiate le loro macchine dentro Napoli.) É probabile che a non tutti piacerà l’area immediatamente circostante dato che è piuttosto commerciale/industriale, ma la classe del Vanvitelli ve la farà dimenticare! La camera era spaziosa, ristrutturata di recente, immacolata, con riscaldamento sotto pavimento o aria condizionata a seconda del periodo dell’anno. La colazione era eccezionale. Insomma, un rapporto qualità/prezzo eccellente. Abbiamo detto all’hotel che saremmo arrivati tardi, ma questo non era un problema, di fatti ci hanno inviato tramite e-mail delle chiare istruzioni su come contattarli e su come entrare dato che, chiaramente, i cancelli di sicurezza sono chiusi la notte. L’albergo era veramente sicuro. Ci tornerò senz’altro e lo raccomanderò ad amici e parenti che si troveranno a fare in futuro lo stesso viaggio che ho fatto io.

Ideally situated at the junction of the A1 and A30 autostradas - perfect for stopover between north and southern Italy or for those wishing to visit Naples without staying in the city. (Perfect also if you have hire car as I understand companies are not too happy about taking hire cars into Naples). Immediate area may not please everyone as this is an industrial/commercial area but the standards in the Vanvitelli more than make up for this! Room was large, newly decorated, spotlessly clean, underfloor heating/air conditioning dependant on time of year. Breakfast exceptionally good. Altogether, very good value for money. We notified hotel of our expected late arrival - this was not a problem, in fact we were given very clear instructions - via email - how to contact and access hotel as the security gates are obviously locked during the night. Very secure hotel. Will definately return and recommend to friends and family who will be making the same journey in the future.
