What a find this hotel was!! We are 2 single 30 something gals and absolutely loved this charming little hotel! (Particularly the hottie on the front desk!) The location was second to none - just 10 minutes walk to the Louvre, and 5 minutes to the heart of exciting St Germain. The rooms, although compact, were very comfortable with tea & coffee making facilities, but regretably no iron! The breakfast was absolutely wonderful, so typically french with delicious baguettes, cheeses and pastries. There were also bacon & eggs if you were up early enough which seems unusual in Europe. The only negative that comes to mind is the ongoing trouble we had with our door lock - it was extremely difficult to open, and we often required assistance to get into our room. Without a doubt, I would recommend this hotel and would certainly book again if and when I am lucky enough to visit Paris again!

We spent just under a week here and chose it based on its wonderful location in the heart of the 6th arrondissment and the Left Bank. it's a quick walk to several metro stations and on a lovely street full of art galleries, cafes and restaurants.
We stayed on the top floor (6th - room 601) and were impressed with the size of the room and the bath. Only drawback is that while other rooms in the hotel seem to have been renovated this room was not (still had oldish furniture, really old tv etc.) The other renovations are apparent in the common areas (lovely combination of old stone and modern leather) so I will bet it will be great when they do it.
My only complaint - and it is similar for every other hotel in Paris i've stayed in - is with the breakfast. While the price here was much better than what i've seen (13 euros) it just isnt worth it... walk down the street get your coffee and a croissant to go at Paul.

We had a wonderful stay at Prince de Conde. We stayed in the room on the 6th floor. Plenty of space, though a bit noisy on the weekend if the window was open. The location is great with easy access to several metro stations and plenty of good places for breakfast or dinner close by. The service was very good. I was even encouraged to resurrect my high school french when checking in. I highly recommend this place in a very fun section of Paris.

Accepting that hotels in Paris are a complete rip off compared to most other world capitals, this is one of the better options. The rooms are at least big enough to move around in and the staff is helpful and pleasant. Good location in the middle of Left bank and nearby the Seine

A magical left bank hotel situated between the river and boulevard St Germain. Surrounded by some lovely art galleries and several fine restaurants and bars.
Staff very friendly and attentive. 5 visits to date and another booked in March 06, we have yet to be disappointed.
