The "Grand Hotel Smeraldo" stands exactly where nature has enjoyed itself creating a setting of rare beauty. This large accommodation structure is built on several levels that gradually drop down to the beach and the "natural seawater swimming pools", amid granite outcrops of a pastel pink colour, often smoothed by the wind that models them into strange and different shapes of unmatched beauty, such as to create unforgettable emotions. The hotel sleeps 400 people in "Superior and Standard rooms and Suites", all with comforts of a "four star Superior". Furnishings are elegant and consistent with the type found on the Costa Smeralda. Sober fabrics, often woven in Sardinia, with strong colours, but also lively. Pleasant, with a rough but authentic feel, ingenious, unique, far for showy, the elegance of simple things. The building is about 200 metres from the central square of Baja Sardinia, a seaside village that needs no introduction, a place full of life, houses, restaurants, bars, discos and famous boutiques. Round about, a unique countryside dominated by valleys, hills, coves and natural granite monuments of the strangest shapes. The hotel offers rooms, lounges and scenic terraces, from where you can see Corsica, the beaches of Tahiti and Caprera and across the islands of Budelli. The" piano Bar", with its large glass windows and a wonderful veranda has as a backdrop the islands of the archipelago of Caprera and La Maddelena. The "Beach Bar" features scenic terraces that drop gradually down the beach. The three swimming pools, two of which small in size, feature whirlpools and are corners of rare beauty set in Hotel Park. The many courtyards, dotted around the garden, provide ample parking space for guests. The nearby village of Baja Sardinia offers: water sports, flood-lit tennis courts, excursion, car rental, and pedalo, motor boats, first- aid post, supermarkets, church, discos, restaurants and boutiques.
