Lovethewhites has stayed here and says:
"My husband and I stayed at the Oasis on September 1st, 2007. The rooms are alright, but the price was $59 for a Saturday night on a holiday weekend, so you can't beat that! They were really clean and neat. The location of the hotel is excellent. It is right off the highway and you don't have to travel..."

I-15 Quick Stop

On our way to visit our relatives for the 4th of July weekend, we decided to pull off the I-15 and take a break from the long drive. We couldn’t help but notice the dozens of billboards advertising all the packages that come with the purchase of a room. It was a Thursday night so all packages were available. We ended up getting the $25 FREE PLAY and room for $29.99, WHAT A DEAL!!! I won $100 with my free play!!! So for only paying a little over $5 (with tax) for the room and winning $100 in their casino, I’d have to say that staying at the Oasis was a great choice. The rooms are a little worn but we expected that, the kids played miniature golf and enjoyed riding on the go-carts. I would recommend the Oasis for families looking for a quick convenient place to stop if they’re traveling on the I-15.

Great pool for the grandkids.

We have traveled to Mesquite since the 80's and have always enjoyed the motel. The Oasis is not pricey or fancy but the grandkids loved it just like our kids did. They'd eat the pizza every meal if Grandma would let them and the buffet was great for a very low price. We spent as much time at the slide pool as we could while Grandpa golfed at one of several top notch golf courses although I did get to have a facial at the spa. We tried one of the other pools also since there were four pools. You park next to your room so it's easy coming and going. For the money, staying several days doesn't break the bank.

well, o.k. lets keep an open mind about this place. I was coming through on a long motorcycle trip, towing a kwik kamp camper behind my motorcycle. It was a thursday night and i was hot and tired. I had decided to rent a space in their r.v. park for the night, as it came with full use of the pool. When i went to check in, i was told the r.v. park cost $18.00 a night. BUT ! If i wanted to, i could rent a room for $28.00 a night and would recieve a free dinner at the buffet. Well heck ! i had figured on eating dinner anyway, the buffet is $10.00 so the price was the same either way. Naturally i chose the room. the room was o.k. not as clean as i would like, but not filthy, no bedbugs, and the only roaches i saw were hanging out in the parking lot after dark. Only one lizard, she was going room to room at 3:30 A.M. looking for a place to give massages, I didn't want one and probably came off a bit abrupt. The pool was clean, inviting, and the hot tub was a welcome addition for someone who had just spent 10 hrs. on a motorcycle. the buffet was astounding for a casino. I mean really good food ! All in all, yes, i'd stay there again. They really need to consider a remodel on their rooms, they are showing serious signs of wearing out.

I've stayed at the Casablanca and loved it, but reservations informed me that Bldg. 5 at the Oasis is all brand new and nice so I reluctantly said okay because it was less per night plus I knew that the gym was no charge to Oasis' guests. So we get to Bldg. 5 and the room is....well, they should have hired me to do their interior design because if this is the best they can do, then someone did a poor job. It's okay but it's drab and lacking in warmth. The room was newly remodeled like they indicated, but the walk-in shower was pretty small. I do love the grounds there and the pool and the tennis courts and the gym. You walk out your door and you hear the birds chirping and smell the lovely lilac bushes and for two hours I was the only one at the pool. The gym is very nice for a hotel because I think they sell memberships to locals so it's got a lot of stuff. I would only stay in Bldg. 5. I wouldn't even consider staying in another bldg. The rooms looked nasty when I walked by. They stuck us on the highway side and it was pretty noisy with truckers driving by 24/7, which was very annoying and we tried to move but they said they were full. The music in the casino was annoying and loud and I couldn't stand it. The staff was very accomodating and I was afraid to eat there but the breakfast buffet was excellent. I don't like buffets but we got it comp'd so I thought we'd try it and it was very clean and the food was fresh.

Did you know non-smoking is "merely a suggestion"??? We booked on their website which made no mention of the fact that by making a non-smoking reservation, we could still end up with smoking room. And once you are already in Mesquite, your options are very limited. Our intial room was a smoking room right next to the interstate and underneath the bright flashing sign. There were several children screaming loudly next door and the truck traffic sounded like it was headed right for your room. When we requested a quieter location, they moved us across the street by the parking garage and it was disgusting. The white filtering curtains were brown and crusty. There were burn marks on the floors, the bedspreads, the countertops, toilet, etc. The lamp was broken, the floor in the bathroom was peeling up, the linens were filthy, the shower curtain had gunk on it, the floor had white stains along with the cigarette burns and the room smelled horrible. The hallways were loud all night long and there were screaming kids in the room above us. We had booked for two nights and had intended to possibly extend to three. Needless to say, we checked out the next morning and headed for cleaner and more pleasant environments. I would never, ever stay here again.
