canontnia has stayed here and says:
"Having missed Naples on previous trips to Italy we decided to visit there this year but with some trepidation. The week we left we were told there was a major garbage strike and a Canadian had been shot walking in one of the old sections of town. As usual, over exagerations. And, as usual, by taking..."

The Chiaja de charme was in a nice, safe section of Naples. Clean, comfortable rooms. Decent breakfast. Very helpful staff. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking to stay in Naples. Reasonably priced. Tracy Ryan New Jersey

The hotel is in a safe and accessible area of Naples. the room was comfortable and clean, but the experience was let down by the breakfast situation, if you don't get there early, all the food is gone. The staff are pleasant and helpful, but it took about 20 minutes to get a cup of coffee, and the croissants were gone, there was no cutlery or plates available, and tables were not cleared between sittings. They know how many people are staying, it should be possible to have enough food and enough staff to organise and manage the breakfast. It is expensive enough, at 170Euro for the bed and (maybe) breakfast.

Comfortable hotel. Reception desk was very friendly and efficient. Loved the balcony looking down on the street below. The room was not noisy once the shutters were closed. The bath/jacuzzi took a long time to fill. Otherwise very good

The location was great and the front desk was helpful. The hotel was well-kept and clean. My main complaint with this hotel is the horrible air conditioning. The room unit was more of a white noise machine than a cooling device. At times the outdoors were cooler (remember- this is Southern Italy in summer) than in the room with the AC on full blast. The poor state of the AC couple with the heat-holding polyester blend sheets made for an uncomfortable time. Because of the climate control problems I cannot recommend this hotel- particularly during the hot Italian summers.

I just spent two days at this delightful hotel. My single room was right off the lobby but behind a double door so I didn't hear a peep from anyone. There was not much of a view from the room but why stay inside when the view is outside? The staff were very helpful and knowledgeable about the area, which buses to catch to the train station (R2), beaches at which to swim (Sirena), where the Capri ferry was and how much it cost (16 euro one-way) and so on. The hotel is in a central location, just up from the best cafe in Naples (Gambrinus, great Limoncello), next to charming trattorias (ntrella), there's a net cafe 30 seconds up the hill and the security behind massive doors that could withstand an indirect tactical nuclear strike impressive. My room, single occupancy 104 euro, had a massive double bed, well-equipped bathroom (but bigger people or Americans may struggle with the shower), mini bar (reasonable prices) and electronic safe. The room was tastefully decorated with antiques and cleaned every day. Breakfast was continental style and the sitting area off the lobby very comfortable. I would happily stay here next time I am in Naples.
