We had the best time because of the hotel. The room was great--sheets, towels, service, restaurant's food and service. Great location and nothing to say but GO!

My husband surprised me with a weekend at 21c. We had a wonderful experience--the staff had a red penquin with Happy Birthday balloons tied to it waiting in the room. The room was very comfortable. The restaurant where we had dinner and breakfast as well as an after theatre snack was fabulous even by NYC standards. We enjoyed Louisville and the ride home to Knoxville visiting a bourbon distillery and Berea art district along the way.
All in all, a great weekend away.

This is not only a beutiful hotel it is also excellent. It is truly a museum with art everywhere. The suite we had was absolutley first rate. The, amenities are excellent as is the service. My wife liked the pillows so much she bought two! The restaurant of the hotel is also excellent and priced moderately.

Our two nights here were most gratifying. Where else can you stay in an art gallery/museum and enjoy first rate amenities ranging from fine bed linens, wide screen TV, luxury robes to a great coffee/tea machine always primed and ready to go? Our room was immaculately clean (housekeeping ready to start early in the day), as was the bath. The consistently friendly staff with name recall skills even made it a point to ask about a wedding we attended our first evening in town. We did not have an opportunity to try the food, as we were caught up in the frenzy of the wedding.
Only slightly negative observations treat street noise (fourth floor overlooking 5th Street) and $22 daily parking at adjacent commercial garage, which could have been arranged easily by us. When I inquired about retrieving some needed papers from the car, didn't get any offer to tell me where car was, only an offer to bring the car to the hotel. Prevailed upon a different doorman/valet parker to tell me where the car was, two minutes away. I know, if you are going first class, pay the price and enjoy.

I love 21C. Every time I go to Louisville I stay there. The service is unparalled. They remember your name when you come and go and they hello and goodbye. (It makes you realize how many other hotels don't do this). The only thing I would change are the beds. The sheets are wonderful but the mattresses aren't soft--they are kinda hard like a Holiday Inn bed. If they would upgrade the mattresses I would give it 5 stars.
