Relais Borgo Scopeto is an old medieval village completely restored and brought back to life in the Spring of 2005 after 4 years of meticulous restoration. The hotel is composed by 8 different buildings and surrounded by 5 hectares of gardens. The main entrance and reception area are located in Il Castello- 3 floors accessible by lift. The furniture is a mix of modern and classic with very comfortable velvet green sofas and a fireplace. Black and white old photographs decorate the bar and give it an old fashion atmosphere. There are three lounges- one which used to be the old entrance of The Castello- and an atrium with an amazing high ceiling glass roof. A gourmet restaurant with genuine vaults and contemporary decor reminding the strong purple colour of the Chianti wine with a capacity of 70 covers for a la carte dining or 120 covers if used for private functions. The outside terrace has a capacity of 50 covers. The main conference room La Balzana of 180 sqm can accommodate 150 people theatre style. The ceiling is over 3.5 meters and benefits of natural light. La Sala del Caminetto has a capacity of 60 persons for meetings or banquets and a magnificent view of Siena. 18 bedrooms and suites are located on the 2 upper floors. Attached to the main building Il Borgo- of typical Tuscan inspiration- offers a choice of 20 double rooms and suites overlooking the countryside and the city of Siena in the background. Other suites are located in private villas such as La Loggia and Il Giardino are situated in quiet gardens. There are also 2 one bedroom suites on the first floor of La Cantina. La Villa- of typical Florentine style- is located across the courtyard. 3 suites and 9 bedrooms in total on three stories with lift. La Terrazza and La Torre are 2 separate buildings located 20 meters away from Il Castello in which an 80sqm apartment and two 50sqm bedroom suites.
