I recommend this hotel for: A romantic getaway, Tourists, An amazing honeymoon.
We booked a room in the old house section of the hotel and were very dissappointed that apart from the old windows looking out on to the Golf Course we could have been in any hotel room there was no character at all. It cost more then the rooms in the added on part of the hotel but apart from a very modern looking four poster bed it would have been the same. There was a wedding on that night and it seemed a lot of the guest were smoking outside the front door of the hotel!!!! and so the noise kept us awake until they went home. I mentioned this the next morning and the receptionist said they were looking into changing this.

My Mum and I stayed in Faithlegg for the June bank holiday weekend. We were given a fabulous room, the entire width of one of the wings of the house, with windows on both sides, 2 kingsize beds and a 3 piece suite in it. We were told that it was the luck of the draw with the room, but we were really, really impressed. The staff were all absolutely lovely. In particular they gave us a really warm welcome when we arrived very late on Friday evening. The food was lovely too and the bars are quiet and atmospheric for relaxing in. I am all too accustomed to feeling ripped off when I stay in hotels and B&Bs at home, and this was a lovely change. Both Mum and I would highly recommend Faithlegg.

Our overnight stay is perhaps inadequate to fully judge this extensive four star property, centred on a converted 18c mansion and surrounded by its own golf course. The decor is somewhat heavy handed and faux traditional. We stayed in a 'standard' room which was adequately sized and furnished but lacked any character. Dinner was ok but not memorable. Internet access is poor. The staff were pleasant and efficient. Just as an hotel, Faithlegg doesn't seem worth the detour but its leisure facilities look good.

We stayed at this facility for one night as part of a tour group. It is a converted older manor house and staying here was a special experience. The grounds and views are great. It has a golf course as part of the location (I did not play) that looks to be above average. Service was excellent and the rooms were comfortable and well maintained. The visit was enjoyable. The location is not convenient, with no restaurants nearby and cwentral Waterford some distance away
