Very disappointing stay at this hotel. Our room was very nice, but the service was terrible. On arrival we checked in, unpacked and went to sit by the pool. Having started our journey at 4am we decided on an early lunch - not at this hotel! We were told they were fully booked for lunch and fully booked for dinner. We were offered room service, which we could eat by the pool. We asked if we could sit at a table by the pool bar (which was not open) this was allowed. There were four tables occupied when we ordered our food and there were four tables occupied when we finished our very mediocre steaks. For the three hours that we sat in the pool area no more guests arrived for lunch,leaving 4 or 5 tables empty the entire time. I asked to see the manager as I sorerly needed an explanation and was told that the kitchen could not cope that day! The manager did however inform us that a table was now available for dinner. The food was excellent, thats all I can say. We did not eat lunch or dinner at the hotel again for the remainder of our 8 day stay.Breakfast was chaos every morning, finding a table to sit at was difficlut every day, on one occasion we had to ask for our coffee 4 times, The service was dreadful. At 355 Euros a night I expected a higher standard

I have stayed in the Hotel de Mougins on business for one night. The hotel entrance gives you a good idea of what this hotel is about...meaning privacy, small and charming. The hotel is a 4 star hotel with swimming pool and a lovely garden from where you can access to your rooms. I have a room on the 2nd floor 216 with a balcony but there are also some rooms on the ground floor with semi private gardens. The style of the room and the hotel overall is very much typical of the South East of France. The resaurant is also very good. We had a set menu so I can't comment of the overall experience. But we had a good meal outside in the garden. Breakfast is continental and nothing special. The only negative point is the the bathroom which fails to give you power shower in the morning. I guess all guests were having a shower at the same time. Overall, a very good hotel to stop by if you fancy to stay remote from Nice or Cannes.

We stayed here for 2 nights during a vacation in Provence and Toscana. The Hotel is situated in Mougins in a very quiet and relaxing area, only about 15 minutes from Cannes in the French Riviera. There is plenty of free parking place and after a quick and friendly check in we were given a wonderful room (see pictures). Our room was on a ground floor, with a door that opened directly to a lovely garden and swimming pool. It was big, confortable and very cosy. The gardens surrounding the pool are really pretty and quiet , and one can have breakfast outside . The hotel as a good restaurant but one has to book early to be sure to have a table. We had dinner there and really enjoyed it. The water in the huge pool was a bit cold , but i am sure that it was because it was Springtime. The room was very clean, there were plenty of towels & all kinds of toiletries and the french doors were a nice feature. There are many good restaurants in Mougins , a couple of them rated in the Guide Michelin, but you need to book a table in good time. I would have no problem at all to come back ,and can recommend this hotel to everyone who wants to be close to the Riviera in a quiet area . We were able to drive to St. Rafael, Cannes, St.Tropez , etc in less than 45 minutes.
