Ich war nun schon mehrmals im Austria Classic Hotel Wolfinger und fühle mich dort immer sehr wohl. Die sauberen Zimmer mit der exquisiten Einrichtung, das überdurchschnittlich freundliche Personal und die Lage sind besonders hervorzuheben. Ich freue mich dann schon immer auf das reichhaltige Frühstück und den so liebevoll dekorierten Frühstücksraum, von dem aus man einen tollen Blick auf den Hauptplatz hat. Das Auto kann man bequem in der Tiefgarage unter dem Hotel parken. Ich komme gerne wieder!

We had a one day stop in Linz sandwiched between Vienna and Salzburg and the Wolfinger Hotel was wonderfully located for such a visit. It is right on the old square, there is a public carpark underneath the square, all the trams and the tourist trolley train leave from the square, the tourist info office is across the square and the Ars Electronica is just over the bridge from the square. The hotel is older in a quaint way with creaking floorboards and antique furniture and fittings. It has an almost guest-house feel to it which is helped by the friendly staff. The breakfast was adequate and the hotel is located near a range of restaurants. We opted for a Turkish pizza place on the other side of the river (a bit schnitzelled-out by then) but there are many more nearby locations. Our room looked over the square (which was quiet) and our children's room was more internal but still looked over the small gap between the front and back part of the building. Both rooms were quite spacious and the bathrooms were reasonably modern (i.e. of a later vintage than the creaking floorboard and room fittings). We enjoyed our stay in Linz and at the Wolfinger.

My husband & I, only stayed at The Wolfinger for 1 night, but were very impressed as to how helpful and friendly the lady on reception was. It was a brilliant location, right in the centre of the square and was perfect for our New Years Eve stay. The room was really clean and tidy, and the hotel corridoors were very pretty with their Christmas Lights. The whole square was full of people by midnight, with fireworks, music, food etc and fun was being had by all ages. We meet some locals who couldn't have made us feel more welcome and showed us the sights. The only bad thing I can say about the whole experience, was although breakfast was meant to be served from 8-12, you needed to get there early, as by 10.30am all the food was gone and only drinks remained.

Despite being on the city's main square, hotel is comfortable and quiet (might be best to avoid rooms at the front) apart from the noise of suitcases being wheeled along the external corridors. Slightly old fashioned decor but helpful staff, including restaurant suggestions. Spoke good English, excellent selection of breads at breakfast.

Der besondere Reiz des Hotels Wolfinger beruht einerseits auf der freundlichen, familiären Atmosphäre, und andererseits auf der Tatsache, dass jedes einzelne Zimmer höchst individuell gestaltet ist. Der Frühstücksraum, in dem man sich sofort wie zu Hause fühlt, die reiche Auswahl am Buffet und der Blick über den Linzer Hauptplatz tragen weiters dazu bei, dass ich immer wieder gerne im Hotel Wolfinger absteige.
