What a beautiful hotel neatly tucked up into the mountain side.
Booked a junior suite with side seaview. Whilst room was fully equipped with beautiful furnihings the seaview was non-existent even from an upper floor. My advice therefore would be to pay that little bit extra for the sea view!
The hotel and accommodation was lovely and clean and the staff were very friendly.
The hotel is in the middle of piskopiano and within 10 mins walk to Koutouloufari with its many restauarants, shops and bars.
There are many steps and lots of steep path inclines to navigate to get to the restaurants but at least it keeps you fit.
Looking forward to returning in the future.

Just returned home from a one week stay at the Amazones Villiage Suites. Had a fantastic time and everything was first class. It was just like being from home to home. Staff, especically Caterina and Dijan, were very helpful and friendly. The holiday was just perfect and hope to return again in September.

We had a panoramic sea view junior suite (H2) it was comfortable and tastefully furnished with everything you need for a holiday, Clean towels etc. everyday, fruit, small bottle of wine, large bottle of water, tea & coffee to start the holiday.
Lovely clean pool, likewise the whole complex was spotless. Wonderful buffet breakfast al fresco as the views are magnificent.
This is the place to come and relax, with two other villages within a very short walk there is a great choice of places to eat, our favourite was Beggera (at least I think that is what it translates into) it is opposite the yellow post box in Piskopiano, formica tables very basic, no menu on view but serve excellent typical greek food at half the price of the other Tavernas that we tried.
Quite a steep climb up to the hotel from the village centre via roads and steps but well worth it.
If you want brash nightlife then this is not the place for you though there were plenty of bars in the village that probably would be a bit livelier in season.
Great base for exploring Crete espescially if you have a car as we did.
A big thank you to Den & Caterina for making our stay so wonderful I really do not know how they managed to be so cheerful and helpful on so little sleep!! Though I am still cross that Caterina remembered to give us our passports back, we could have stayed longer if she hadn't !!!!!!!
Hoping to see you again soon.

For our first time in Crete, we wanted to have a base which could allow us to visit as much as possible of the island in four days.
The Amazones Village Suites has revealed to be the perfect choice.
We stayed in a master suite, which we definetely suggest: very big, fantastic view, very good service.
Good breakfast around the pool in the morning, with a view as fantastic as the one we had from our room.
The hotel is far enough from the confusion of Hersonissos and very close to the very nice village of Piskopiano, where we could have very nice food in one of the many tavernas.
It is better to have a car, becasue the hotel is on the hill, just a little bit far away from the beach (a couple of km?s).
If you want to visit the island, like we wanted, the hotel is in the perfect location, just in the middle of the north coast of the island.
Very good value for money, a lot of courtesy and very nice staff.

I booked this hotel through the "finest hotels of the world" websire. The pictures on this defiitely reflect the look of the hotel however the facilities listed do not. We booked a panormaic sea view suite. This was meant to include a jacuzzi in the room and wone on arrival of which there was neither. The wine I was not so bothered about, however, I was rather disappointed that we did not get a jacuzzi. The hotel facilities list on the website state that there is an "a la carte" restaurant and a jacuzzi as part of the pool. This is clearly not the case - there is no jacuzzi and the food that is served is delivered from a local take away shop in Hersonissos. The remainder of the facilities are very good, although we were asked to remain quiet one evening when we were using the hotel bar (not just us, all the guests) even though the staff were encouraging us to buy drinks. If they wasnted us to keep the noise down (and it was not loud as there were few customers in there) they should have shut the bar rather than taking people's money from them. This was not the fault of the bar staff (Marion and Lee) who were very good but a result of the owners making a complaint.
The surrounding area is lovely and a great place for a base as a holiday - as the gentleman in the review below has pointed out. The restaurants in the villages are excellent although beware of the greek wine! If you like a cabernet sauvignon and are not a huge fan of sherry beware! patrikos has a good choice.
After we arrived home, I emailed the customer services at "finest hotels of the world" to comment on the poor facilities compared to that stated on the website and the fact that as an international website I would expect the standard to be of a 4* not a 2*+. I understand that greek hotel standards can be different to other countries howeveer I would expect an international hotel website to point this out and rate accordingly. She forwarded an email to the owners and I received a very offensive reposnse from them including a comment that I was clearly wrong and that there was a jacuzzi and an "a la carte" restaurant. Please let me know if you disagree!
I would recommend the resort but would stay at a different hotel. I woudl not stay at this place again.
Special mention to Marion though who did an excellent job.
