Excellent hotel, lovely situation opposite marina and seafront - 4 minutes walk to town centre.
30 rooms, all fresh with comfortable beds, scrupously clean. Worth paying extra for superior room with terrace.
Bed and breakfast only - superb breakfast buffet on hotel's delightful terrace which has abundant flowers..
Staff, waiters and maids all friendly, helpful and efficient.
Owner and Manager are always available and helpful with their advice.

Very good location with an easy walk on the flat into the centre of Amalfi. Charming, helpful staff. Good quality breakfast served on the terrace.
Our superior rooms were well worth the extra money. They had a superb view with large patio offering sun and shade.

My family and I visited the Aurora May 6-9, 2008.
A total of 10 of us. Oldest being my father at 87 yrs old.
We had a wonderful time!
The hotel is lovely and close to town. Of course , on the water. Rooms clean, bathrooms updated and stocked with all kinds of bathroom goodies. Staff friendly and very professional.
We felt comfortable and very relaxed.
We received dinner recommendations, with specific information. And we made our choices. Each suggestion was appreciated, and the resturants treated us like special customers.
Notes : Breakfast Buffet on the patio, lovely. However, only cold items.
Definitly book a ' water ' view. Thru some booking confusion, none of our rooms faced the water. We did have a great view of a stone wall....very humorous. And rooms were fine.
Would gladly stay again. Felt very comfortable, staff so pleasant.

We stayed at the Aurora for 3 nights. This Hotel is the perfect place to stay in Amalfi and further it is the most quiet place your likely to find within walking distance to the Piazza Duomo. The walk is only 7 minutes but you won't notice as the wonderful views will occupy your attention. Upon approach you'll find the hotel may not look like something you'd see advertised in a travel mag but don't let that fool you. It's a beautiful property inside and out. The staff are all exceptionally kind and very helpful people. Our room (#28) was of adequate size for two persons and the sea-view balcony was as large if not larger then the room itself. The balcony had 2 sun loungers, 2 chairs, a tiled topped table, and further there was still another 3-5 square meters of walking space. The view from our balcony must be one of the best in Amalfi. The breakfast was above average for Europe but the fresh croissants were all that we needed and there were plenty. The breakfast patio was also perfectly surrounded by beautiful trees and shrubbery. I'd recommend this hotel and would definitely stay here again.

We stayed here for a week in the middle of May. Travelled from Naples, which was a nightmare, but the hotel can arrange transport for ?105 which is completely worth it and takes an hour.
Hotel itself is gorgeous, clean, newly decorated and in a perfect location at the end of the harbour, minutes walk from the main centre so nice and quiet. Hotel staff and extremely helpful and will do anything they can for you. We were on the 2nd floor with a balcony which i would definitely recommend. Breakfast on the terrace in the morning with a view of amalfi and the harbour is stunning. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone going to amalfi
