Stayed in this hotel while visiting international fair. Very good hotel, clean, well located (few minutes from central station, direct subway to airport). Nice bar with nice staff. Maybe weak in internet connection in some rooms. Very good breakfast. Many restuarants within very short distance. Very quiet.

We stayed at the Leineschloss Hotel for two nights in December 2006 and were pleasantly surprised. We had booked the room via the Hotel’s website, but when I called the hotel a few days before arrival to double check, I was told that there was no reservation under my name, and that the hotel was in fact fully booked. After some back and forth, I faxed the confirmation email to the hotel and received one back with a hand-written ‘everything’s ok!’ on it in German. I was therefore apprehensive that there might be further problems upon arrival, but this was to be the only problem we encountered. Check-in was swift, the non-smoking double room was spacious, with four poster bed, armchair and sofa, and large bathroom. Quite impressive for just ?75.00 per night per room, so just ?37.50 per person. I am sceptical about the receptionist's claim that the hotel was fully booked, as the breakfast room was empty on both mornings, but the breakfast selection (typical German fare as well as cereal, scrambled eggs, sausage etc.) was plentiful and varied. The location was the main attraction, being situated in the centre of the historic old town and right opposite the mediaeval landmark church. Good value, good location.
