!!!
I booked this hotel for two nights over a 3 night weekend in Newcastle, and what a total gypsy encampment the place was!
The first room I got was ok, however not the cleanest. The 'self cleaning' toilets were disgusting and the carpet in the room was stained in places.
I had to change hotel on Saturday due to the place being fully booked (I booked two nights in this place), and when I returned on Sunday, the room I got was much worse. There was a stench of urine beside the bed, there were numerous disgusting stains on the carpet and walls, the bed cover was ripped and the entire room was generally in a disgusting state.
I complained to the staff member on reception who had the customer service skills of Basil Fawlty (although Fawlty Towers was much more luxurious in comparison!) She grunted, and the guy who I supposed was the owner of this dive also grunted and inspected the state of the room before sighing and offering me another room. Mercifully the other room was slightly better.
Having said that though, people were thundering up and down the corridors in the early hours of the morning, the same as the last night. The toilets again swamped with urine and rusty fittings lying in the some of the basins??
For ?29 a night I didn't expect luxury, but one thing I did expect was a cleanliness and friendly staff- I received neither and gladly checked out at the ridiculously early required time of 10am. I didn't see the point of complaining to the female Basil Fawlty on reception- she looked like she'd thump me if I dared open my mouth, certainly was not approachable.
Never again! :-O

Please note- This Place is billed as a hotel, is not a hotel it is the hostel from hell!!
I have stayed in Blackpool for the same price (?15pp) in a B & B and it was spotless, friendly and en suite -
This place is neither of these things.
During our one night stay we experienced -
-Flooded toilets.
-Numerous lads being ejected from the 'Hotel' and subsequently arrested for various reasons.
- Unfriendly staff
- An army-like wake up call from a sgt major-style member of staff, where we were then welcomed join a mile long queue upon check out to claim our ?50 deposit back.
- Empty vending machines.
- Showers not working fully and when they did you were treated to a self-cleaning jet spray.
- Stains on the carpets.
- Rock hard beds.
I would'nt recommend anyone to stay here unless you are used to backpackers or glastonbury!! lol!!

This is the worst hotel that i have ever stayed in, The hotel was absolutley discusting! The rooms didnt even look like they had been cleaned when we arrived, The showers were dirty, The toilets are like airplane toilets! Also you have to pay a ?50 deposit, They will make any excuse not to give you this deposit back, this is how they make there money off you,In my party there were 16 of us, not one of us got ANY deposit back. The hotel says it is in newcastle, but it is not in the centre, Its about 7 miles away, costs you a fortune in a taxi. DO NOT STOP IN THIS HOTEL!

we came to this hotel as it was 8 girls and we wanted something cheap and cheerfull it was ?11 a night and i paid a ?50 deposit wich i got back at the end. the rooms were basic double bed and bunk on top with a sink and a tv, we had a smoking room. the toilets are self cleaning and i found them ok the showers were fine. the only thing about the accom was the steps and being a girl it was hard lugging our cases up the 3 floors. one of the guys who worked there was really nice and he helped up but when i spoke to another guy about it i got a mouth full of abuse and he said he is not a dog and wont be wistled at to help i found this very rude and didnt want to argue back as i still hadnt had my deposit back, the manager of this hotel is the most disgusting woman i have ever seen she is very unproffesional and looks a state not at all like a manager. i would not go back here ever again but if u wanna cheep room and dont mine vile staff it is good.
