I have chosen to stay in Novotel hotel, Bandung as it is one of the newest hotels in this small town which is also known as the "Paris Van Java". It is also because my small family prefers to stay in a modern designed hotel.
I guess we made the right choice as Novotel, Bandung gave us that simple and classy feeling the moment we made our way into its lobby. Everything about the hotel from the furniture to those artworks hanging on the wall is simple and yet elegant.
We were lucky to get a room facing the famous "Tangkhuban Prahu" mountain. The room is well-designed and everything looks new or well-maintained. So, no stained sink or bathtub or carpet. And yes, there's also a wireless port for Internet connection in the room.
The breakfast spread is great, too. There's something for everyone from a 3-year old boy to a 30+ adult. And you get to taste a new set of spread every other day.
Novotel is located on Cihampelas St, about 15 minutes from downtown Bandung. To get around, you can ask the receptionist to call the BlueBird taxi for you. The hotel also provides airport trasfer to the airport but you'll need to book first.
Although the swimming pool is quite small, the hotel's ever helpful staff, wonderful design and deco and great food make it up for that.
All in all, we like the hotel a lot and we'll sure to stay there again the next time we go to Bandung.
