We arrived in Nimes with no accommodation booked and wanted a hotel in a good City Centre Location with secure parking. The Novotel ticked both of these boxes and it was pleasing to find friendly reception staff in a lovely, clean modern well furnished hotel. The rooms were not overly spacious but very nice and comfortable with lovely shower rooms.

We stayed at the Novotel Atria for two nights in May and found it a nice, friendly hotel. We arrived by train and it was just a short 5 minute walk from the train station to the hotel. Front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was your standard Novotel room which was pleasant and quiet ,once you shut the window to shut out the street noise, although maybe a bit spartan. We stayed in the Novotel at CDG in Paris and it was the exact same room. The hotel is a short walk to the arena, in fact, we stumbled into the arena sooner than we were expecting. The Maison Carree (under renovation when we were there) is also within an easy walk as are the lovely streets of the town. The Jardin de la Fontaine is a bit more of a hike but easily do-able with the necessary breaks for cafes and pastis. Breakfast is buffet style served in the atrium and quite good by continental breakfast standards. We ate at the hotel restaurant the first night and enjoyed the food, somewhat to our surprise. We would return to the hotel again and to Nimes.

Welcome respite during a hectic trip. We were initially reluctant to book a "chain" hotel but it surpassed our expectations. Lovely room, comfortable bed and great bathroom. In a location an easy walk from the train station. Sadly the breakfast was not that great but in every other way was fabulous.

Six of us stayed over Christmas - my wife and I, our two twenty-something children and our two over eighty mothers. All went very well. The refurbished rooms are fine - try for rooms on the 6th floor overlooking les Arenes as the view is great and the traffic doesn't impinge. The staff were really helpful. The breakfast was excellent. We ate there once, which was not as good, but we had been spoiled the other days. The hotel is near to all the sights and the pedestriansed old town. It's also in easy walking distance to the railway station. The rate was good too as we booked early. For eating we liked Le Resto and Le Jardin de Hadrien. We found Bouchon et Assiette nice but less good. Trips out to Pont du Gard and Port Camarge/Aigues Mortes both a success. There are three car hire companies at the station.

Comme d'autres rédacteurs de chroniques, nous avons réservé notre séjour dans cet hotel en profitant d'une promotion sur le site web du groupe. Le principal attrait de cet établissement réside dans son emplacement, presque face aux Arénes. Sinon, pour le reste, il correspond aux standards des Novotel, ni plus, ni moins.... Les chambres sont spacieuses et confortables, le personnel est courtois sans étre exceptionnellement serviable.... dans la norme. nous n'avons pas testé le restaurant, mais les petits déjeuners étaient corrects. Le parking payant constitue un détail mesquin pour cette gamme de prix. Un bon souvenir dans l'ensemble.
