Stayed at this hotel for 3 nights on business. The hotel was average and clean. The food served at breakfast and dinner in the hotel restaurant were above average. The rooms were spacious. The surrounding area left something to be desired. The hotel was quite a distance from the city centre. A colleague recommended staying at the Mecure for my next visit since it is of similar if not better quality and closer to downtown. Nothing to rant about but also not much to rave about. Acceptable

We had a great deal in this hotel. 3 Nights incl breakfast for only 105 Euros. The rooms are spacious and clean, with minibar, tv and a nice bathroom. If you book this hotel make sure you take it with breakfast included! Wow, what a breakfastbuffet! I've travelled a lot, but never have seen such a breakfast! You will have to walk for about 30 min to get to the Schwebebahn, which will take you in about 15 min into the centre of town. There's also a busstop in front of the hotel, if you want to skip the monorail. The restaurant in the hotel serves a nice diner too, at reasonable prices, but don't forget to visit a local Imbiss to eat some Gyros! They are all over town, and one is just 10 min. from the hotel. Wuppertal is worth a visit, but you,ve seen it al in about 3 days, except if you want to make some nice hikes. The surroundings are just great to make short(2-5 hours) or even day-hikes. Furthermore the hotel is situated close to the Autobahn(Highway).

we stayed there 5 days 4 nights, hoped we could enjoy our vacation in wuppertal city, but it's a pity only nightmares we got there, that's the worse vacation we had !! the weather was pretty cold at those moment but the heater didn't work, and bytheway the window's broken, can't be closed, so terrible in the night with a lot of noises from outside and cold. the toiletries not enough for 2 adults and 1 child, we had to remind the reception everytime about it. the bed wasn't comfortable, our back's hurts everymorning caused by the bedmatrass very thin (should be changed!!!!). our prefferenceroom was smokingroom but they gave us non-smokingroom with an ashtray !! the personel were bad, always screaming and yelled out to each other nomatter in the front of the hotel guest ??? come on guys, wake up, it's not a discotheque where you have to yell out to each other otherwise you can not hear anything. so i didn't recommend this to everybody with longstay planner.

Very nice Hotel would reccomend it to anyone for business or pleasure. As for the city it is a wonderful city with alot of good shopping and a model view of German Lifestyle. As for the review where someone says the city is dumpy and unfriendly. I do not find that to be the case at all. I lived there for 6 months and the people are great and the city is very clean. You have to remeber the German People are not like that of the Peopel of america where everyone says hello as you walk past. It is not like that. But that is the German WAY! So anyway, this is a Lovely German City that is close to 2 large German Cities, Dusseldorf, and Koln.

Very nice hotel with great access to the main motorway to Dusseldorf,around 300 or 400 yds,very large rooms,mini bar,couch,wood floor bathrooms,the quality is very good,would recommend staying there, only if you have to go to Wuppertal on business,do not choose it for pleasure,as we did last week,the town is a dump,VERY unfriendly,the only thing they have there is an overheard monorail that as been running since the early 1900's,they say it goes over the scenic Wupper river,which by the way is full of garbage and old bikes.Thanks
