I recommend this hotel for: Older travelers.
The hotel is located on the beach of Montabo in Cayenne though there is no direct access to the beach. You have to get through the main gate to go to the beach instead of just walking a few meters. I went there to observe the seaturtles nesting in the area and it is a good location to observe the nesting process though not safe for a tourist alone.
The service is mediocre and not up to the Novotel standard. The breakfast area is dirty sometimes and the hotel can be desert, even at the bar when you want something.

The Location of this NOVOTEL is great,close to the Atlantic ocean
(beach) but with a price range from 105 to 140 euro it is over priced because it does not provide the following:
* No fitness facility
* No busines center. If you want to internet you will have to carry
your own laptop and purchase a wifi card at the front desk.
* Not everyone at the front desk speaks english ,so it might take
sometime before your english calls get through.
* No english speaking Tv channels in the room .ONLY French
It would make one stay a bit more pleasant with CNN ,BBC
world or France 24.
* The rooms( the hotel overall) needs a renovation. Paint cannot
cover all .
I,ve been to many Novotel but this one do not live up to international standards. The staff is friendly and you can stroll or
go jogging on the beach. The hotel is safe but the price is not good value for money. Breakfast is okay but the list of choices at the restaurants is poor. A tip to the manager. Make it a international hotel and not a french hotel. Add english speaking channels to the TV . One would expect more of the most expensive hotel in French Guyana .
