It took us ages to find the hotel so would advise having good map. Hotel was to the usual Novotel standard and was ideal for a stop over. Room was clean, comfortable and quiet. Staff friendly and courteous. Food a little disappointing and would probably eat out if staying here again.

The only real pluspoint in this hotel were the friendly and attentive receptionists. The lift door on the way up to the room trying to get us, closing quickly before we can escape from the elevator. We won, another guest didn't. The room itself was a big disappointment. It looked worn out and rather cheap - unusual for the Novotel hotel chain which is normally a good deal. There was even no aircondition, the cooling system is central and probably outdated - from the rooms there is no influence on the temperature. Since the weather was very hot, the room was too hot to sleep. A fan was provided, as expected in cheap hotels - but the hotel is not cheap... The shower was the next big desaster: The waterhose broken and leaking. The water temperature changing from hot to cold and back within a few seconds. Changes of the watercock lever position will only result in a different rhythm of hot and cold sensations. The lever itself was built in a dangerous way, looking straight up and peaky - so in case somebody slips in the bathtub, it will produce major injuries. The toilet stops flushing the moment you lift your hand from it, so you have to stay there to flush fully. Toilet paper is unusually cheap for the region. We headed down to the pool, of course we did not bring any towels from the room. There was no service personnel at the pool, and of course - no towels. In the late evening we felt hungry, and around midnight we tried to obtain some food from the restaurant. The waitress strictly refused to serve any food because of the late hour. No apologies, no food. Of course, in the minibar there was absolutely nothing eatable, as well... We were pretty happy to leave the place in the end.

Reassonably priced hotel - perfectly acceptable for a stopover or business. Pool small and not much space around it. Breakfast could have been better - but was satisfactory. Very clean and soundproof. Just what you would expect from a Novotel. Would stay there again as a stopover - but not a holiday.

Preislich ganz anständiges Hotel – völlig okay für einen Zwischenstopp oder auf Geschäftsreise. Der Pool war klein und auch drum herum war nicht viel Platz. Das Frühstück hätte besser sein können, war aber okay. Sehr saubere und schalldichte Zimmer. Genau was man halt von einem Novotel erwartet. Würde wieder hier absteigen, auf einem Zwischenstopp, aber nicht um Urlaub zu machen.

Hotel Novotel Linz I selected this hotel among the hotels list from my travel agent , the hotel is very beautiful and well designed , the price is very competitive less than 90 Euro . All the services were available , the hotel garden is very wonderful , having the breakfast around the pool and the nice breeze of Linz makes you feels the pleasure of gaining value for your money. The only problem with this hotel is the location , Novotel Linz lies at the very end of the city nearby Solar City ,so you have to take the tram after 5 minutes walk from the hotel to the nearby tram station , the tram takes around 20 minutes in order to reach the Hauptplatz ( the main square ). And you can find the tram stops every where in Linz !
