"Stayed in thins hotel for 5 nights and we were very happy, booked through Priceline for $63 a night so it was a great deal. I had requested a "grand lit" or queen size bed on check in and got two twins but this mistake was quickly corrected. The rooms were very clean, nice, and the hotel is right on..."

Overall the property is decent - nothing more, nothing less. The location is in the middle of the business district and there really isn't much else to offer the non- business traveler. There are very few dinning options outside of the hotel restaurant, which was just so-so in menu choices and quality of food. The rooms are small and compact but everything worked. The RER runs underneath the property and the noise was quite noticeable from our room. It was nice to have the transportation readily accessible, but I would rather have to walk a block and have a quieter room. I would only recommend this place to individuals who are traveling to Nanterre for business, not as an option for a vacation trip to Paris. There's certainly no "Parisian" charm to the location or the property.

We spent two nights here as part of a tour, it would not have been a first choice hotel because of the location but as we spent so little time in the hotel it was adequite. It is in the middle of the business district and as we arrived late Friday evening and left Sunday morning the area was very quiet. I was very aware of the rumble from RER running under the hotel, though others in our group took no notice of it.. The room was a nice size for Paris with airconditioning, a seperate WC and bathroom. We never ate an evening meal in the hotel but breakfast was a continental buffet breakfast and as there was a few other tour groups and company seminara here it got a bit chaotic around the buffet area. There appeared to be a seperate breakfast area for independent guest at which it seemed a cooked breakfast was available. Although we never used the RER to get into the centre of Paris it would appear to very easy and quick, although getting back to the area late at night would have been worrying. The staff were very helpfull and always greeted you with a smile. If you're not worried about being in the centre of Paris this hotel is more that adequite for a couple of nights.

Client chose this hotel and they were paying. No major complaints except that it is a bit impersonal. Rooms are small. Breakfast spread was alright. Enough to keep me happy for 3 mornings even though the same selection was served. Clean. Well maintained. Within walking distance to train station. La Defence is a ghost town after office hours and during weekends. Many major French MNC are based here. Can walk to the new Arch.... and look all the way to the original Arch...

This hotel is in Nanterre, which is one of the cheaper residential areas in the North of Paris. I visit Nanterre on business on a regular basis but its the first time I've stayed in this hotel. The room I had was quite large for paris with a separate sitting area and bathroom. However, it is quite basic with signs of wear and tear (e.g. repairs in the bathroom look like the guy who did them was drunk....). Although the RER will get you into paris quite quickly, the area itself is well off the tourist route and I wouldn't want to wander around here too late at night and I definitely wouldn't want to be getting the RER back here late at night. The local restaurants are very cheap and cheerful and really cater for the locals. Overall, I would recommend you stay at the Mercure in Neuilly as its the right side of the river and much more amenable for wandering around at night. I wouldn't recommend to stay here either on business or on holiday unless you want something very close to business in Nanterre.

We just returned from the Mercure la Defense Parc on the 24th of March. Got a great deal with priceline and would reccomend this hotel to the less fussy guests who want a nice, clean, and cheap hotel with good access to transport. Location: The hotel is in zone 3 of Paris, literally above the train station. It takes less than 10 minutes to travel to Champs Elysee, so very convenient. In addition, we used the line to go directly to Disneyland Paris (about 40 minutes). However, the hotel is located in the business district so the area and train station become very dead at night. Rooms: Quite big with separate lounge with two sofas and a TV. The beds were very firm and more than adequate for a good night's rest. Bathrooms were nice and clean, with a separate toilet room. Overall, the room was what we expected of a 3-star if not a 3.5-star. It was very basic but well-maintained. However, there is no mini-fridge in the room for those who like to save money on food/drinks. Service: Check-in was very fast and receptionist was very helpful in helping us with finding our way around the train map. However, the light in the toilet room did not work on the first night and we informed them the next morning. The issue was resolved eventually.
