Good hotel and to a good price.
Great location right on the north side of the river. Comfortable bed, fairly good breakfast. Underground paid parking. Only steps from the pedestrian bridge across the river to the old city.
Now there is a lot of roadwork around the hotel, but there is no noice.

We stayed here on route from Madrid to Barcelona we had tried to book the holiday Inn but were told that it had not opened yet (they were open when we went past) we were a party of four and asked for a non smoking room but the young lady at the front desk said that if we had a smoking room it would be better because it was bigger and also on the front of the hotel overlooking the river, the rooms view was great , we stayed 2 nights and the staff were very good and the rooms were very clean, we did order a pizza via the hotels paperwork which we got delivered only to find out in the morning that it had come about 50 yds across the road, car park was extra but well worth it

I stayed two nights in this hotel and booked it through their website. When I arrived at the hotel I was told that because I booked through Internet I had to get a room made for a disabled person. The problem for me not being disabled, was that the shower did not have even a curtain, which meant that it was impossible to have anything such as clothes in the bathroom as the whole room would take a shower together with me. Of course, in these conditions, you don't expect to have a hairdryer!
Also, the first room they gave me - which was for non smokers - was stinking cigarette so bad that I had to request another room. An ashtray with still ashes in it had even been left in the bathroom.
In addition I had to use the card to enter my room also for the elevator, but it was never working and the staff was blaming me for not using it properly until they finally understood that the problem was real.
The cleanliness was also not one of the best selling point of this hotel. However, the location is really great, not even five minutes walk from the historic centre of the city. I did not have a room with view, however the view from the breakfast room was really enjoyable.
Because of the cheap price, I might stay there again, but only for a really short time.

The Ibis Zaragoza's greatest asset is at the moment its greatest liability as well: location. The hotel is ideally positioned next to a pedestrian bridge over the river Ebro, for easy access to the old city centre. Unfortunately, since the bank of the river on which the Ibis is located is now undergoing a great deal of construction work for Expo 2008, many streets in the vicinity are closed and getting there can be a challenge even for local taxis; bus lines nearby have been diverted away from the area. Good for business travel, but don't plan to sleep in as the works start promptly each day at 8:00. Otherwise, the WiFi offering in-room is €6.50 for one hour's access, so that may give you some pause. At least the Ibis chain's usual costly food rates are easily avoided by visiting the supermarket located in the same building as the hotel, which offers a wide variety of ready-made sandwiches and salads.
