Very conveniently situated. All the staff were most pleasant and helpful. Full marks all round. Would thoroughly recommend. A standard Ibis, but with many extras. Enjoyed our three nights there, and would return without hesitation.

the hotel is fine: standard Ibis (small room, cupboard for a bathroom) meringue walls in the corridors (Ibis travellers will know what I mean) good breakfast. HOWEVER!!!!!!!, I was not informed about the work that is going on in the theatreplein outside the hotel. Builders working from 5:30am until 2am!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! rebuilding the square. all the hotel said was sorry and that it should finish in June but they are not expecting it to finish until Christmas. Avoid unless you have earplugs as standard or are deaf!!!!!

C’eravamo già stati prima e la posizione, il prezzo e tutta l’esperienza sono imbattibili. È ubicato in posizione centrale, con un parcheggio davanti all’ingresso. Durante i fine settimana il mercato cittadino è proprio davanti all’albergo. Attualmente, però, ci sono un paio di problemi: in primo luogo, ci sono grossi lavori in corso fuori dall’albergo e in tutta la piazza, e sembra che ci vorrà ancora qualche mese per completarli. Di notte questo non è un problema, ma se intendete dormire di giorno probabilmente è meglio trovarsi un altro alloggio. Inoltre stanno installando l’aria condizionata che sarà collegata nell’agosto 2007, quindi per adesso i corridoi sono pieni di tubature esposte e in camera c’è un apparecchio di troppo. Le camere sono piccole, ma direi che nel complesso il rapporto qualità/prezzo è accettabile. La camera in cui siamo stati era un po’ vecchio. Il buffet per colazione costa €12 ed è ottimo, e il personale è dei più gentili.

Ero già stato ad Antwerp cinque volte ma questa era la prima che alloggiavo all’Ibis Antwerp Centrum. Devo dire che sono stato in alberghi migliori allo stesso prezzo. Aprendo la porta completamente si colpiva il letto – la camera era minuscola, ma proprio minuscola: una persona più grande di me avrebbe avuto difficoltà. La posizione non è male ed è molto comoda per il mercato. Avevamo già trascorso due notti all’Ibis Off Grand Place a Bruxelles che era un albergo complessivamente molto migliore di questo ad Antwerp. Antwerp è una bellissima città, spero di tornarci molte volte, ma non in questo albergo.

The hotel is conveniently located close to the city centre and the main shopping area. The room was clean, but small, although that is to be expected from an Ibis hotel. However, despite being a non-smoking room, at times the room stank of cigarette smoke. In addition, the room was very noisy, with very poor insulation. Yet, what bothered me most was the poor service offered by the reception staff. They seem to make it a point to make you feel unwelcome, which is not so unusual in Belgium but still not appreciated.
