This hotel is a typical one in the Ibis chain. Nice cosy rooms with modern furnishings and a FLAT SCREEN TV. Long working desk and comfortable beds. Furthermore, it is very conveniently located along Rue de Siam, within walking distance to the main shopping street and wonderful restaurants in the square as well as down in the harbourfront.
Most importantly, free parking at night and value for money!
Will definitely stay here again.

When one books a stay at Ibis, one does not expect luxury. But it is reasonable to expect friendly service. We didn't get any. Parking in the vicinity is difficult, but free spots can be found along the harbor. Our main complaint : the room was tiny. You open the door and it bangs into the bed. You enter the room and can't put down your suitcase because you're caught between the door, the wall, the bed and the TV stand. So you must lift your luggage on the bed and wriggle around to close the door, then wriggle to the other side of the bed to pick up your luggage.
Even so, we were delighted with our stay in Brest. Just opposite the hotel is a row of seafood restaurants that offer delicious food at altogether affordable prices. The castle with the maritime museum is worth visiting, and Oceanopolis, a bus-ride away, has beautiful aquariums reproducing the different seascapes along the Breton coast. The polar and tropical pavilions are fun too, but of less immediate interest to lovers of Brittany.
