Look, this is the Hotel Ibis, so you're not expecting five star luxury. The rooms were clean, the breakfast set up was nice, and most importantly, you're in the middle of Caen. It's cheap and efficient.

My brother and I are two college-aged students who backpacked around Europe for six weeks in Summer '07. When we went to Caen, as a central location for visiting the D-Day Sites, we decided to stay at this hotel. The hotel is a very easy, very safe 10-15 min walk from the train station. It is centrally located in Caen and has a nice, big supermarket about 100 yards away. The city itself is very nice. Nearby internet cafes and bike rental. Very nice choice if you're going to stay in Caen.
