"A great hotel for a night or two. It’s virtually identical to any other Ibis I’ve stayed in (which isn’t a bad thing) – clean, functional, fairly modern and a good price. It’s in the centre of Saint Omer so plenty of bars/restaurants are nearby if you don’t want to eat/drink in the hotel..."

Nice enough Ibis right in the centre of town, very small car park, beware of car park rage, an early leaver was blocked in early on Sunday morning and must of woken half the hotel getting out of his parking space. St Omer looks a nice little place but beware during the day when the Cafe's in the square play rip of the English day tripper, In the evening the bars fill with the local bright young things a nice freindly atmosphere though. I am sure there is nice places to eat in town but the place we went to was steak & chips with a choice of bought in sources and over priced cheap wine. Hotel buffet breakfast ok, it was fresh and there was plenty of it, rest of the town looked shut on Sunday morning so not much choice anyway.

Adequate but tired

Well-positioned for a stop in the town or access to the Calais ferries (40 minutes drive). Parking, however, is poor with a small private courtyard area that fills quickly. We arrived at 5pm and the last 2 spaces filled 5 minutes after that. Otherwise it's parking out on the busy narrow streets, and unloading could be difficult. Room was standard for Ibis but the decor was tired. If you have a street-side room it is noisy with the windows open. There is no AC. Our arrival welcome was classic French unsmiling (after 400+ mile drive!). The receptionist next morning was much better, but we were giving her money - ?92.80 including ?8 each for breakfast and ?7 for the privilege of parking off street. Breakfast was standard continental. OK, nothing else. Overall, this hotel sufficed for a one-night stop but we will try somewhere else next time. There are better Ibises too.

Have stayed here many times over the years. It is still a good overnight stop, right in the town centre with car park at the rear. Get there early before the car park fills up. Pleasant staff and modest, well-kept Ibis. There are many restaurants within a few minutes stroll, including in the flower-bedecked square.

You want a clean, very well located, uncomplicated short stay in St Omer? This is it. Very short on tea & coffee making facilities; car parking complete by 6p.m. Otherwise good value, inc. breakfast @ Euro 7/pax well above the brasserie offerings down the street.
