I've stayed at this hotel many times in the last two years and feel it's the best service and value in the city of Accra. It's not the most glamorous in the city, or the most convenient, yet the food, staff, calm scene, and business atmosphere keep it at the top of the list for Accra.

Great modern hotel with all the amenities of American hotels. Large rooms with spacious bathrooms with luxury items. Good food both buffet or a la carte. Pretty pool and good spa/work-out room. Very safe with lots of security guards. A little out of the way with nothing within walking distance. Car hire and concierge service is excellent. Expensive food and rooms for Accra !!

In Nov 2005, My sister and I returned to Ghana after a 57 year absence. We stayed in 2 comfortable mission guest houses, with fans and AC, one very dirty guest house, and a private home. Our trip down from Tamale was on the STC bus because the flight had been cancelled. After 12 hours on the bus we were grateful for the pleasure of the Cresta Royal Hotel. The reception was very plesant. The very clean room was large with 2 double beds and a clean bathroom and shower, tables and comfortable chairs. We ordered an evening Ghanaian meal, which very good. The next day we had a good breakfast and lunch. Access to the internet was convenient but expensive, though about what most US hotels charge. When traveling to Ghana, I usually stay at local mission guesthouses. But this was wonderful. I will allow myself the pleasure of staying here again, if I ever have the occasion.

Desperation led us to this hotel the night before an early flight. It's clean and pretty close to the airport, but otherwise a poor choice for lodging in Ghana. There is nothing authentic about the sterile, Europeanesque hotel, so bland with no connection to the beauty of Ghana. From a service perspective, the front desk staff was curt and unaccommodating. They would not honor my Orbitz reservation and I had to pay a higher rate. I am currently settling the issue with my Visa company and Orbitz. I would not stay here again.
