Stayed at the Westin during the NCAA Sweet Sixteen basketball games to avoid the crowds when we were not at the games. Although the hotel is right in the airport, we never heard air traffic noise and the hotel has a serene ambiance, right down the reflecting pool and large atrium. Parking is expensive, though, so if you are driving, limit your comings and goings; the valet parking allows you to go in and out, but it is the most expensive option for daily parking. The staff was very helpful in printing out local directions for us. I'd love to stay here again!

Bring lots of money if you are parking there (18.00 a night) but the hotel itself is wonderful. Beautiful hotel and for my airplane enthusiast of a husband, a great location! We had the perfect view of the planes. Although you are that close - you barely hear anything. It was a great stay and very convenient for us the next morning for our early flight.

Since we have a drive to get to DTW for early morning flights the Weston is very conveniant for us. They valet park your vehical for 8 days. Drive up, hand over the keys when you check in. Enjoy a wonderful soft bed in a very nice, clean room. The restaraunt is pricey, but you can go threw security into the McNamara airport terminal to eat , shop and they have a bar where you can have a drink. If you are leaving out of McNamara terminal, they have an entrance to the airport without even going outside. We actually departed this time from Barry terminal. They do have a 24 hour shuttle that runs between terminals. When we arrived back into DTW at Barry terminal we could have waited for a shuttle, but opted for a quick taxi. Westin delivered our vehical to their front door and we were off. This was our second stay at the Weston, definately the easy way for early flights and worth the extra money.

I stayed at this hotel for the first time last month because I had an early flight the next morning. The hotel reception, lobby, and restaurants are very dark- part of the style, I guess. The room was very comfortable, esp. the bed. Everything was clean and staff was helpful and friendly. It is expensive for Detroit but you can't beat the short trip to your gate (assuming you're flying out of that terminal) I would definitely stay here again.
