This is a classy hotel, especially for Australia and Melbourne. Have tried other places in town and this is the best. Service is excellent, location the best, dining, bars, public spaces great. Rooms oversized, but the showers leak. Good for business.

We stayed here on New Year's Eve. We loved everything about this hotel, especially the location. Loved the decor too, simple and modern, yet luxurious!

As a frequent traveller to Melbourne, I recently enjoyed a three night stay at The Westin Melbourne for the first time. From arrival to check-out everything about this property was terrific! It has a warm, friendly atmosphere despite the sizeable tiled lobby and wall to wall windows facing onto Swanston Street. Our deluxe room was very spacious and comfortable with great views onto Swanston Street, the bathroom was fabulous with a large shower and separate large bathtub, the vanity had two basins and good space overall. The location is absolutely first rate for the CBD shopping precinct plus it's so close to Flinders Street Station and Trams in all directions. The staff were generally very friendly and efficient. I'd definitely recommend this property for adults (didn't have any kids with us so can't comment on it's suitability) and look forward to staying at The Westin Melbourne again.

Just back from our first trip to Melbourne where we stayed at the Westin Hotel on Collins Street. My girlfriend and I really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Our room was one of the nicest we've stayed in. It was large and spacious and very nicely decorated. This hotel is in a really great, central location. It's close to Swanston street and less than 5 minutes walk from the Bourke Street mall. Overall it's a thumbs up from us. Also we found Melbourne to be a really nice city and we will definitely go there again.

We stay in Melbourne around 20 times a year and have now switched from Langham to Westin over the last 18 months. The hotel staff are very helpful, and nothing is too much trouble. The bar gets very busy with theatre goers, but it is lovely to be able to sit outside on the balcony while having a cocktail. The two things we love most about the Westin is the location which is in the pefect shoping district of Collins Street boutiques and a minute away from Bourke St Mall etc. The 2nd is the beds, make sure you get a "new" heavenly bed, its like sleeping on a cloud, we have even bought pillows to take home. Buffet breakfast is good without being exceptional, same as most 5* places, room service food late at night has always been good and prompt.
