A nice hotel for the money in a great location. Easy to get to from the interstate and close to places to eat.

This was the second time I have stayed in this hotel. We were there for an anniversary weekend getaway. Excellent service, rooms, cleanliness. Near restaurants, movies, and shopping.

This hotel is perfect esp for a business traveler. The staff were all very friendly and helpful, the rooms clean and equipped with hi speed internet access. The bathroom was spotless and so clean, I could actually enjoy a hot bath at the end of a grueling day! The in room coffee maker features Wolfgang Puck coffee, which was probably one of the best coffee blends I've had in a while. If you are an exercise enthusiast or would just like to unwind at the end of the day, there is also a small whirlpool and fitness center, with treadmill, eliptical and bike. Didn't check out the pool, but it looked very clean and welcoming. The complimentary breakfast rocks! Rather than the normal cold pastries and cereal routine, the Wingate offers fresh fruit, scrambled eggs, bacon, hash browns, waffles (if you want to make them), and yogurt, accompanied by various cold juices and coffee blends- all delicious! This hotel is literally a stones throw from i-77- easy entry and exit. There is a mall across the street, and a Cracker Barrel restaurant next door, which you can easily walk to. I'd highly recommend and would definately stay here again.

We stayed at the Wingate for two nights in November and found it to be a viable location for those needing wheelchair access. Bathroom size is important to us and this bathroom was very spacious. The sink also met all of our accessibility needs. Additionally, the room itself allowed access on both sides of the bed, which isn't always the case in a handicapped room. The complimentary breakfast was quite good with egss, bacon, sausage, sausage gravy, buscuits, waffles and all of the other usual breakfast fare. It was well-attended and in all of the staff at the Wingate were very pleasant. They also offer free online hook-up in each room and have a small business center. The beds are comfortable, but the pillows are way too big and fluffy, with no other options available. Also, we could easily hear the dialogue from televisions on both sides of our room. Another small issue would be the outside lighting which shined directly into our room. There was no way to full close off the curtains and therefore the room remained partially lighted throughout the night. Overall, the Wingate is worth a try if you are traveling ot Rock Hill.

Stopped into this Wingate on the way home from Florida (to NJ), and what a lovely surprise.....it's beautiful, clean, has very friendly staff, and oh my goodness WHAT A BREAKFAST THIS PLACE PUTS OUT! Of all the hotels/motels we've stayed in over the years, the Wingate blew them all out of the water as far as the morning complimentary breakfast goes.....it was HUGE! There was so much to choose from. The staff was constantly going around the dining area, cleaning things up, refilling things, asking if everything was ok....it was very relaxing and terrific. I would highly recommend this Wingate location! One negative........somewhat loud air conditioners in room (seems typical of a lot of hotels/motels), and certain parts of the building have very bright spotlights shining on it.......avoid those rooms if you want the room to be mostly dark when sleeping.
