We stayed at the Wingate by Wyndham-Lynchburg on June 20th for one night while our son was attending Virginia Boys State at Liberty University. The hotel staff was very friendly and efficient. The room was clean with great views of the mountains (when booking, request mountain view!), and the bed was oh so comfortable! It was definitely the best night's sleep my husband and I have had in a long time!! We took advantage of the hot tub (very relaxing!) and also watched some tv before turning in for the night. We chose this hotel for it's proximity to Liberty University, and also for the hot breakfast buffet included in the price. The food was plentiful, however the hotel was a bit crowded and seating was SRO. Several tables had guests who chose to sit and talk after finishing their meal (not the hotel fault, just bad manners on the part of those guests who could have moved their conversation to the nearby lobby thereby opening up more seating for those forced to stand and eat ). Overall, a superior hotel! We would definitely stay here again!!!

Stayed here one night and was ready to move in. What an INCREDIBLE room for $89. Here are just a few of the highlights: 1) asked for quiet room and got the end of the hall with no one next door 2) Bed was heaven. Period. 3) 3 chairs - an upholstered, rolling high level desk chair, an upholstered straight back chair, and an easy chair with ottoman. 4) 6 lamps and 18 visible electrical outlets 5) Coffee machine with 3 different kinds of coffee, 4 types of tea 6) Microwave with...popcorn. 7) Fridge. 8) Decent TV - but get this - speaker system wired into the bathroom so you could listen and take a shower at the same time. Oh, my. 9) Friendly staff and continental breakfast with eggs and bacon to boot. 10) Internet was free and FAST This was a GREAT.

We just returned today from an overnight stay in Lynchburg were I had to take the Graduate entrance exam for Graduate school. Our experience from the beginning was a positive one, I contacted the hotel directly to see if they had vacancies and was allowed to choose what type of room and request a king size bed All the rooms are non-smoking which is a great plus. The room was excellent, clean and neat. The bed was very comfortable, my husband fell in love with the flat screen tv and free HBO. The hotel also had free wi fi internet, which the last hotel we stayed in overnight you had to pay for. Our stay was quiet and enjoyable, we were disappointed that we did not get to use the indoor pool but we got in to late and were already tired. Breakfast the next morning was very good also. There was eggs, bacon, make your own waffles, cold and hot cereals, fresh fruit. Overall we were very satisfied with our stay and would definitely stay in this hotel again if we travel to Lynchburg. Oh and they did discount our room 10% since I was taking a test at prometric testing center. GREAT JOB Windgate Inn!!

Great property! Great staff! Rooms were clean and beds comfortable, bathrooms nice with plenty of towels, new carpet in rooms. The hotel isn't 5 star, but the guests are treated as 5 star hotel guests. Great location!

This hotel was easy to find. We were visiting Liberty University and the hotel is about 1/2mi. Many shopping centers and restaurants near by. If you are a student or visiting Liberty University the hotel does give a discount. The hotel is situated on a hill so the view is beautiful. The front desk were very friendly and professional. Our room was clean and had a small frig and microwave at no additional cost. Also there is a single cup coffee maker. You get complimentary microwave popcorn and coffee/tea. The breakfast is included in the cost although they say its free. Its a good breakfast. I would probably prefer to eat out ,but since you are paying for it, why not stay. You do get a variety egg,sausage,bacon,ham,make you own waffles, yogurt,cereal etc. The swimming pool is nice warm 3ft-6ft. There is also a whirlpool. This is all indoors. The fitness center is small but serves its purpose. Service was great when I called for extra towels they came soon. Great place to stay. I would come again.
