I recommend this hotel for: Families with young children, Tourists, An amazing honeymoon.
This was my second stay at the Arli and I really think it is excellent value for money. The location is excellent for Bergamo, the train station is walking distance, the funicular to the Citta Alta is walking distance and all major bus routes leave from the end of the street. There are several good eateries in walking distance and a gorgeous bakers just a few doors down from the Hotel - we have came back laden with italian goodies. The rooms are clean, comfortable and the little touches excellent with a choice of pillows and extensive toileteries. The mini bar is handy to have and there is CNN on the TV just to keep uo to date with things if you want. The day staff are very friendly and my only grumble would be the gentleman on duty at night, specifically when we arrived at midnight was not very cheerful at all and remained this way for the duration of our stay. Also the taxi to the airport was five euro dearer than they told us it would be but they are just minor issues, all in all a great place to stay and I would return for a third stay.

As a member of the party of 9 addressed in the previous review, all facts are correct. However it was not mentioned that this took place at 10:30 PM with small children and a baby in tow. The experience was the worst I've ever had in an entire lifetime of traveling. In retrospect I would have rather spent the night in the airport if it wasn't for the children.....

We stayed here last September on our way back to Bergamo Airport from Lake Como. We had also stopped off in Bergamo on the way there and stayed at the Mercure Palazzo Dolci, but there were no rooms available there on our return journey. The Hotel Arli was fine for a short stay - the room was reasonably spacious as was the en suite. It wasalso very clean. However, there was no atmosphere and it did feel a bit like a stopping off point rather than somewhere for a holiday-length stay. If you are going to Bergamo for any length of time, I would suggest the Mercure, or perhaps somewhere up in the old town, as it is more picturesque. Hotel Arli is fine for a stop over
