with 3 girlfriends we decided to spend a long weekend in Marrakech and we booked at the Palais Mehdi. the experience has been unforgettable. since the first contacts with Ms. Ahlam, working at the booking department, everything has been extremely easy and satisfactory. on our arrival at the airport, the driver was already waiting for us, and always with the smile on his mouth. when we reached the hotel, ms. Ahlam and a collegue were waiting for our arrival and welcomed us. we were shown our apartment, with two bedrooms, a nice common area, a small garden and 2 bathrooms. everybody, from the waiter to the general manager, mr. Berrada, were incredibly professional, helpful and kind. quality of breakfast and food was high and we could easily perceive that the aim of the entire staff was to make us happy. Palais Mehdi is located in the palmeraie, which is approximately 15 minutes' drive from the medina, but taxis are easy to find, and the atmosphere is much more relaxed, along with fresh air (in the medina pollution is quite high). we had lunch at the hotel and the food was good quality, ans we also tried the hammam, the massage and we got a henna tattoo (all in the hotel: again, the people in charge were kind and professional) they have a big swimming pool, and a small, basic gym with a few machines and a ping pong table, and on the premises you can also play tennis. we took advantage of the shuttle of the hotel and were driven around Marrakech (on the coast we visited Essaouira which we enjoyed) and then to a valley in the mountains at approximately 1 hour and a half from the hotel) Marrakech is not a place where - at least according to my personal opinion - I would go in the near future, but I would honestly strongly suggest it to any friend asking for a place to stay... thanks to everybody there: you made our stay an incredibly pleasant one!

Nous avons passé une petite semaine au Palais Mehdi au mois d'août 2007. Nous avons trouvé tout ce que l'on peut demander à un hébergement de ce type : une structure à taille humaine (seulement 15 suites et trois appartements), appartement vaste et magnifique avec jardin privatif, propreté impeccable, des jardins superbes entretenus avec soin, une magnifique piscine, un terrain de tennis en terre battue, un personnel charmant, discret et disponible, et surtout l'impression d'être chez soi. Le palais est grandiose et décoré avec beaucoup de gout. Le petit déjeuner est parfait. La palmeraie, à l'écart de la ville, est idéale pour un séjour reposant et voluptueux. Les appartements sont parfaits pour les enfants. En un mot, nous y reviendrons avec plaisir.

Hors saison nous avons passé un séjour très agréable, presque seuls, dans ce magnifique petit palais. la piscine est très belle, le petit déjeuner fantastique. Très confortable. Par contre, l'essai de madame pour une épilation avec l'esthéticienne (??) n'était pas probante du tout... Le maillot brésilien un peu raté
