I recommend this hotel for: A romantic getaway, Girlfriend getaway, Older travelers, Tourists, Young singles.
Stayed 3 nights, bed only basis. Very clean, big rooms, excellent en-suite bathroom with underfloor heating.
Had breakfast in hotel twice - more than ok. On Sundays have breakfast at the Bar Celona (known for obvious reasons as the Barcelona) 8 Euros - all U can eat!!!
Hotel on edge of town centre (5 mins walk to the actual centre). Would recommend this hotel

Centrally located hotel within walking distance of town centre.
Great pool, private sunbed.
Fab breakfast and lovely staff.
Paid 99 euro for the night inc breakfast direct on the best western web site.
Really decent sized room and free Tchibo coffee on demand in reception.
Overall great stay. Not the best hotel ever but you would be hard pushed to find a better one in the area.

I really loved this hotel, the reception staff were lovely and the rooms were clean, well furnished and had everything available that you needed.
It was lovely to have a swimming pool just upstairs which was also very clean, quiet and calm.
The only fault was it was fairly expensive but then you cant expect something for nothing, i would love to stay there again.

I have stayed in the Arosa several times on business and, as we were passing through the area on holiday, we booked in for a couple of nights to let my wife see the attractive town of Paderborn. The hotel is currently undergoing some refurbishment, but as we were there at a weekend, none of the work bothered us. After checking in in the small lobby, we headed for our room. This involved a convoluted route : firstly we took the lift (elevator) from the lobby to the 2nd floor; then we walked along a corridor to get a second lift - according to which we were now on the 7th floor ! We then took the second lift down to the 4th floor to get our room - weird. The air-conditioned room itself was fine, although a bit cramped due to the sofa bed we needed, and included a large TV, safe and mini-bar. Also a good sized bathroom with a separate toilet. Food in the hotel is very good - both breakfast and the evening meal we had. The hotel pool is located on the 8th floor, from where there are great views of Paderborn. If you have a car, then the hotel has its own parking garage with plenty of spaces. Paderborn town centre is a mere 5 minutes walk away. I would thoroughly recommend the Arosa and Paderborn if you are looking for somewhere to stay in this area.

We stayed for a total of 5 nights. The rooms are clean and modern but a bit on the small side. They have the world's thinnest pillows but you can get extras - you'll need them.
This hotel is really set up for business travelers on an expense account - not much included with the room price and if you want anything extra it will cost you. Internet acess in the rooms is E7 per day, breakfast E13 (although you may get it included on weekends), etc. Restaurant is non-smoking, at least a breakfast - a welcome surprise since, when the bar is open, you may need a respirator to get through the lobby if you're a non-smoker. Didn't try the restaurant for dinner - there are lots of good places to eat in Paderborn at half the price.
Efficient staff. Everyone we encountered spoke English. Found the best rate via the Best Western website.
We were on the 6th floor, away from the street, and the windows are excellent - could barely hear the church bells on Sunday with the windows closed and couldn't hear any outside noise at other times.
Close enough to walk to the train station if you don't have much luggage. Taxi is only a few euro. Best location of any of the (few) hotels in Paderborn and the nicest of the bunch, although a big, new Welcome Hotel is under construction a little way out of the city center. All in all, nice for Paderborn but expensive. We stayed in a 4-star hotel in Cologne for much less.
