The best thing about this hotel was the alfresco lunch in their beautiful back garden under the shelter of two mature horse chestnut trees. The staff are true professionals. Our room was clean, quiet and air conditioned.

We stayed here for one night and chose the hotel for its proximity to the railway station. Our room was on 4th floor on the back side overlooking some parts of the lake and the alps. It even had a balcony (not every room does) plus a small table and two chairs. The room size was good with a bathroom on the small side, with a shower cubicle only. The hotel's interior is conservative. They still have keys to be deposited at the reception when being out of the hotel. The staff was friendly though seemingly not overinterested towards its guests. The restaurant was well attended in the evening, I just noticed this when returning to the hotel from an evening walk. Breakfast choice was not overwhelming, the coffee wasn't either. All in all a good choice, though I might as well consider to try an alternative accomodation when being back.

We spent three nights in a beautiful room (we were upgraded because of the length of our stay in a business booking). The room was huge and nicely furnished, and the bathroom was the nicest we've ever seen in a hotel. The bed linens were good quality, and the bath towels were huge and fluffy. Our business class room included free internet, and the hotel would even have loaned us a laptop if we had not brought our own. It's great to be able to check email and weather and chat online with family while on a long trip. The breakfast buffet was good. It included meat and cheese in the German style as well as the standard cereal, yogurt, bread and croissants, and canned fruit with juice and tea or coffee. Front desk clerks were extremely helpful at check-in and later. In fact, all the staff we encountered went out of their way to be helpful and polite. The location up the street from the train station is convenient. It's a short walk to the picturesque old town and a longer walk to the lake. There are buses for those whose feet fail them. We would happily stay here again.

I chose this hotel because it is a few blocks form the train station (gare). The room was large as well as the bathroom. Their interenet with hard wire was free along with a terrific breakfast buffet. Everything was clean and the staff was very attentive. When I asked for a city map, they gave me a free transporation pass to let me ride any bus during the entire day. I walked downhill to to the Lakeside and visited the Olympics Museum. I then took a bus up the hill to St. Francis Church. Behind the church is a small square with a statue of Joan of Arc (?) and a large clock that told a story with moving parts at 6:00 pm. There was a large group of children watching the clock.

I stayed her three nights on a business trip. I choose the hotel because I wanted to have something close to the railway station (it was a 10 minutes walk). I had a large room and a very large, very clean bathroom. Staff was friendly and did speak English. Internet connection in the room. If you have to be in the convention centre it is quite far away - about 15 minutes with tram line 3 from the railway station, which goes uphill. Nice walk downhill after work! The lunch was surprisingly good and there are two nice Italian restaurants close to the hotel (Just a 200 metres to the left). I just had a comfortable stay.
