I was booked at this hotel due to a convention I was attending in Burgos. I was really pleasantly surprised with the level of service and comfort we received.
The hotel is away from the city center, but still very close. Walking distance to the cathedral or city center is less than 10 minutes so the location is very practical. However, I wouldn’t say it’s good for someone with walking disabilities since it’s going up a hill and there are steps to go down to the city center.
The room I had was very spacious with 2 twin beds and great windows with a nice view. There was a desk and nice size t.v. with cable. The bathroom was very spacious with marble tile, bidet and a full size bath tub with spa. A friend of mine was lucky to get a room with a balcony and it was fantastic and very large. Big enough for a small gathering.
We had breakfast, lunch and dinner every day for 3 days straight and the food was always great.
I have no complaints and would highly recommend this to anyone.

We are a motorcycle tour operator and we use this Hotel as our last stop before we catch the ferry from Santander to the UK (afternoon crossing - no problem). We have stayed three times and happy to go back. It's new, staff are very helpful, spacious and modern. Good size secure car park. Burgos is in two parts - a modern industrial part (not very attractive) and then the Cathedral area where the young mothers promenade with their children in the early evening and there's quite a social gathering. We really liked THIS part of the town which is easily accessed on foot from the Hotel. If you have not got a GPS head for the river and follow the signs - note that on the map it looks like you can go straight across the area in front of the cathedral but this is pedestrianised. Did this on motorbikes and felt very embarrassed. There are more signs up now!

My friend and I stayed here one night. We had a corner room and did not have any problems with noise. Very clean room too. Great views. In general, it's a very attractive hotel with a nice lobby/bar area. We were able to walk within a few minutes to the cathedral and the general downtown area.
The staff was very friendly and helpful. One small issue: originally we were told we would have to park in the outside lot, which bothered us since the fee was rather high for one night. However, we decided to try to find a spot in the underground garage and located one, which shows it's worth always trying something even when you're told no. My only other complaint may sound like an odd one, but we found the free toiletries to be useless. They are presented in very pretty wrapping and clearly showcased, but most weren't things we'd use. Oddly, no lotion or hair products.

ABBA Burgos

Mixed review for the Abba

We stayed one night at the Abba on our way to a vacation in Asturias. We booked through the internet and got what we thought was a reasonable rate. The hotel is modern and we had a large room and bathroom. The noise level from the room next door through poorly insulated walls, and hard beds kept us from getting a good night's sleep, however. The breakfast buffet was disappointing for a 4 star hotel. Unfortunately, there is no other option since the hotel is a bit out of the center and there are no cafes or bars in the area. The staff seem like they'd rather be doing something else, for the most part. We were surprised at checkout to learn that both breakfast and parking were more expensive than had been quoted in our reservation. When we questioned it, we were told, rather dismissively, "Oh, those were last year's prices." We would definitely choose another hotel for our next visit to Burgos.
