Hotel bar was the only decent thing in this place. Had family room on 1st floor net curtain stinking carpet stained and room hadnt been cleaned as it had crisps under and besides the bed, the sink in the bathroom was full of hair there is a health and safety issue with boiling the kettle we had to boil it on the floor because thts where the nearset socket was ...cracked tiles on bathroon floor torn wallpaper and dirty linin left in passage way the lenth of time we stayed there which was tooooo long. No remote for tv when asked ehy was told to pick one up from the bar with a ?10 deposit, i mean to say what do they think they have there ....the RITZ!!!!!!! And the icing on the cake, mam whos has difficulty in walking was told she couldnt wait in lounge while i got the car was told to wait outside ....but fair do,s the lady did apologise for the rain ........never been thrown out of a hotel before ....if you can call it a hotel. I,v now read many ppl reviews on this hotel" wishing i had before booking" and it seems no one seems to care about the bad comments they are receiving because dont seem to to be doing anything about the state of the place....if it was me i would be totally embarassed to call my self the manager of the "STATION HOTEL"

We have complained to the owners and these are some of the points made about what we found:-
Heaped bucket of dirty cleaning ‘materials’ in public area next to check-in area
Bagged linen obstructing hallway
Chipped and peeling paint in room
Ceiling stained
Hospitality tray cups and spoon (1) dirty
Décor dour and certainly not contemporary and even more certainly not stunning as brochured
Bathroom – dirty toilet and sink and totally UNHYGENIC
They have replied but we find their comments unacceptable
Even though we had to pay ‘up front’ we did not stay for long.
