One of the best hotels in Hanoi. We were truly impresseed by the service and we liked the convenient location just between Van Mieu (Literature Temple) and Phan Phuc (Diplomatic Area). Rooms are spacious with a tasteful interior and competle facilites for leissure and business. Room rates are still - for Hanoi - good value for money. Do not miss the Sunday Brunch - fantasic variety - moderately priced !!!!!!

In my opinion, Horison caters to non-western business people. The majority of the guests during my stay there were mostly Asian business men. The hotel is OK. There are visible signs of wear and tear, but overall passable for a business hotel. The staff speaks English and I had no problems what so ever. Internet connection was slow. Reservations through the hotel's website was straightforward and easy. As mentioned so many times, the location is not great for tourist. It is about a 20-30 minute ride to the center of Hanoi, depending on traffic. Located on a major intersection, you will have to be comfortable to cross the busy streets in "local" fashion to get to the restaurants nearby.

We stayed at the hotel for 2 nights. The hotel lobby, room, and pool were decent. The lobby had lots of local art displayed which was nice to see. We were the only ones in the pool one day. We had a view of the city which was a bonus. Breakfast was plentiful and varied. Internet access was pricey at 50,000 dong for 30 minutes. Location was lacking of restaurants, internet cafes, etc. I think the location was considered the older part of Hanoi. We finally found an internet cafe on the second night after walking quite a distance. We made it up by having che for dessert. The hotel's location ended up being okay since we were on a tour. Otherwise, we would have needed to take a taxi elsewhere.
