This beautiful manor house hotel is steeped in the history of the Cannes film industry and opened under new ownership on 1st April 2004, with a new contemporary Italian restaurant, Il Lago. The new owner, Camilla Richards, is a London-based Swede. She purchased it and has carried out a comprehensive refurbishment. The character and unique aspect of Le Manoir are perfectly preserved but the facilities have a much more contemporary feel. Air conditioning, wooden floors, and the best Egyptian cotton have arrived; the restaurant is modern Italian; the gardens and terraces are now under the direction of top London landscape architect Stephen Woodhams. The twenty-one bedrooms are spread across a number of charming buildings. They are a good size and most of them face south with views of hills and the lake.
