We stayed one night in Heraklion before taking the ferry to Santorini. When we booked the room, we asked specifically for a non-smoking room. At check-in, the reception confirmed a non-smoking room. However, there were ash-trays in the room and the room smelled smoky. The hotel lobby and breakfast room were very smoky. On the positive side, the view of the harbor from the room was very nice. The hotel is also within easy walking distance to the harbor.

.We stayed 1 night.The location is excellent if you want to next to its harbor. The bus station is right at its door if you coming from Chania Clean comfortable room, and nice breakfast.

We stayed at the Megaron hotel for two weeks while visiting our daughter studying in crete. The suite was very nice with plenty of space for us. The staff was friendly and helpful at all times. Great location and convenient for walking in Heraklion. Highly recommend

LOVED this hotel!! Great location if you arrive by boat. Only a 10 -15 minute walk to the center of town. This hotel was really nice – pretty swanky. We got upgraded to a Suite - it was amazing. Everything was brand new and very up to date. The breakfast buffet was good and offered a variety of hot options, meats, cheese and lots of sweets!! Turn down service was nice. I would definitely recommend this hotel. Parking is a little difficult. They have a lot out front, which is free but is also a bus stop. It was somewhat difficult to find a spot and then once we found a spot, it was hard to get out of the parking lot due to all of the buses – but once inside we quickly forgot about the parking.
