The Hotel Montaigne is located on the Avenue Montaigne, right opposite the Plaza Athenee Hotel. The hotel itself is small. There is a dining room where breakfast is served and a bar in the reception.
The rooms are very tastefully decorated and well finished. This is a true 5-star. The reason it is much cheaper than other 5-star hotels is that the Montaigne does not offer certain services (SPA, Swimming Pool...) due to its small size.

Having just returned from a 4night stay at the Hotel Montaigne I felt I had to let everyone know what a lovely little hotel this is. We stayed in room 31 which had a window/balcony on to Ave.Montaigne. The street itself is very upmarket with lots of designer shops. The hotel is lovely, rooms of a good size, really comfy beds & airconditioning (which was well needed as temp. was up in the 30's). The hotel location is superb, top of the street in one direction is the Champs Elysees and at the bottom of the street is the River Seine with stunning view of the Eiffel Tower. The closest Metro station is Alma Marceau (out door of hotel & turn left, cross the street & metro is beside Cafe Francis). The other metro station is Franklin Roosevelt which is at top of Ave.Montaigne (out hotel, turn right & its right at top of street beside the Gucci shop). Loads of really good things to see & do (too many too mention) in Paris so we didn't spend a lot of time in the hotel....to busy out & about soking up the surroundings! Its a truly stunning & romantic city. (Take comfy shoes....we walked so much I swear I needed feet transplants!!!).
If you're thinking about this hotel then think no more....go for it. You'll not be disappointed.

This was the perfect choice of hotel! It was in the heart of Paris, an easy walk to just about every major attraction. The rooms were clean, quiet and comfortable. The hotel staff was friendly and very helpful. Would definetly stay here again!!

Spent three nights here in November with my parents (in their 70s) and found that it was ideally placed to explore Paris. We all enjoyed our stay enormously and found the hotel to be clean and comfortable.
Staff were very helpful and we wouldn't hesitate to use Hotel Montaigne again when next in Paris.
Just one tip - we had room service for breakfast and were not very impressed. Better to go off to the Champs Elyssees just round the corner and have breakfast there!!
But all in all - a very nice hotel

This is my first trip advisor review (I feel a little guilty since I use trip advisory so often myself). We loved this hotel. The best hotel of our trip. Close to everything! On the same avenue as all the HIGH HIGH end shops, 5 min to the tower, 5 min to the arc. I am a lasy person - don't like to walk long distances - so when I saw 5 min it might actually be 3 min to most people.
Adorable room. Not fancy but cute. Nice balcony with flower box over looking the expensives shops. Staff was very friendly. Spoke good english. Booked us theater tickets and helped with transportation. If I ever go back to Paris, I wouldn't dream of staying any place else.
