This is a very nice modern hotel in downtown Ferrol. It is part of the Hesperia chain, and I got a very good deal reserving on their website.
Being a modern chain hotel, there is nothing particularly unique or striking about the Hesperia Ferrol. In fact, we drove by it at first without seeing it. Upon entering, though, it has a large and well-designed lobby. The rooms are updated and comfortable, and the bathroom was impeccably clean. The hotel offers free wifi; ask for a ticket at the reception.
Two small complaints keep me from giving it 5 stars. There were some stains on the carpet and it was somewhat hard to tell if the door to the room had closed properly. For the price we paid, however (65 euros), I was extremely pleased.
Parking is available in an underground garage; for this we paid 6 euros a day.
The buffet breakfast is also quite nice, with a large selection of cheeses and ham as well as cereal, yogurt, pastries, etc.

Part of the Hesperia chain, which I find myself using more and more. Local agent got me 60 Euros a night, which is a snip for such a well appointed hotel. Oh and can I recommend the Medulio Restaurant in nearby Serantes, best in town the say, and I must agree. Only problem for me, as a working stiff, is that the restaurant is closed over the weekend..okay, pizza service will deliver, but a notice in the room clearly states there is a weekend bar service to midnight, whereas it was closed all weekend.I think it might be lazy staff pulling a fast one on management, so complained in the Satisfaction Survey handed in..see if I get a reply! Strong Wi-Fi and free, so I had Howard Stern to ease my work sresses!
