I have stayed here twice now and always had a great stay.
The executive rooms are well worth the extra money as you get a lovely big balcony with views over the cricket pitch - a nice treat for the middle of a city.
The rooms are decorated in a modern style with good facilities, such as Sky TV and free internet access.
Location is good for any of the west side of the city.
The staff are friendly and efficient and the room was spotlessly clean.
I have stayed in several hotels in Manchester, but in future will always go here.

Stayed 2 nights for ?110 with continental breakfast.
Room had balcony overlooking cricket pitch, good size & clean but would prefer to have a bath rather than just shower.
Went to 2 concerts at MEN & Apollo, easy to get to from metrolink just around corner.
Buffet breakfast with plenty of choice.
Couldn't fault it for the price

I booked direct with the Lodge, very helpful. Nice comfortable room and very ample breakfast. A little noisy as sound proofing between rooms is not great but it was worth it for the fantastic views of Old Trafford. Very convenient for tram into city as well.

My hubby, myself and kids stayed here so that we could do the tour of Old Trafford. Our rooms were good with balconies overlooking the cricket pitch, Bar on site open till 1.30 am. No restaurant but we had a curry delivered and sat in the bar and ate. Hotel provided our plates and cutlery and helped us clear up our rubbish. Free coffee and tea in the bar. Even capuccino. Free continental breakfast (we didnt experience this, had a lie in instead). Free parking. Nice friendly place. Only downside was other people being noisy in corridors. But thats the same where ever you go. Would definitely stay here again.
