Not bad, not exceptionell!!
The room is nice and comfortable. In the bathroom there is only a dispenser with soap, no conditioner or other things for he toilet.
Therefore the staff is horrible!!! I booked my room by internet site of the hotel and so I obtained a price, but when I must pay, the man at the reception ask me the double for my room!!!! I explain him that I had an other price and that I was veri close with the time because I must catch the flight, but He wanted the reason and finally I paid a middle-price to can go away. That's all at 5 AM!!!! Nightmare

I arrived late - theres's a shuttle from the airport - with some SwissAir cabin staff: always a good sign. Checkin was efficient, breakfast fine, even at 0630, and checkout was also good.
Room a bit hot on arrival, but the aircon seemed to work. Everything was bright, clean, and in good condition, and I'd definitely stay there again: a real pleasure.
Bad points?
1) the handles on the coffee cups make them almost impossible to hold!
2) a colleague said that the food in the next-door casino (there's no restaurant in the hotel) wasn't very appetising, and room service would have taken an hour to arrive (they order it in).

This is a brand new property, a design hotel which for the fans of the extraordinary will only come to a pleasant surprise. The rooms are very nice and spacious for a 3 star hotel with a magnificent view to the city, or France. The free of charge wireless is more than efficient and there is also a cable for the ones of you that prefer a secure network. The room we had, had a huge LCD TV with 120 movies to choose from.
The bar and reception are 24 hours open and the people that work there are as friendly as it can get which made our stay a very comfortable one. The shuttle bus service (also free of charge) operates more like a taxi service as we used it to get where we wished (city center and musical theatre). On one occasion we were driven by the General Manager of the hotel which again shows the dedication of the staff that works there.
The casino that is next door offers entertainment for the ones that have time (we watched the Weather Girls while we were there).
Overall I would strongly recommend this hotel. You need a pick from the airport? Just give them your flight number, you need to get anywhere in the city? Just tell them when. An excellent service and at last a “different” property in Basel.
