I recommend this hotel for: Families with teenagers, Older travelers, Tourists, Young singles, An amazing honeymoon.
Booked the hotel from fastbooking.com
For ?100 taxes included, sounded like a good deal.
A bit hard to find the location. Beautiful and spacious lobby area, very helpful staff... Took the deal to upgrade the room and include the breakfast to the room rate for another ?60. Considering ?21 per person breakfast and a deluxe room, it sounded like a good deal.
Room was spacious and clean. The carpet was a bit dirty though. Bathrooms look recently renovated, Spotless Clean and quite spacious.
The only disadvantage to the room was the very noisy Portable Aircon. Since the building is an old one, they probably could not go with a Split AC system. Made it quite hard to fall asleep at night...
Breakfast in the morning was unfortunately quite weak in terms of selection considering the Hotel charging ?21 per person. Service was quite bad, it took 3 waiters and 10 minutes to get a cup of coffee..
All in all, the Lobby, the Hotel Building itself Staff except the Restaurant and the Deluxe Room with the great Bathroom was very nice. I believe with the central location ?100 is a great deal for this place.
There is some improvement with the Breakfast and the AC though...

We spent last Friday night in this hotel. We had a spacious and clean room. The bathroom seemed to have been recently refurbished.
The breakfast bar had a good choice of hot and cold food, as well as fresh fruits.
The hotel staff were extremely friendly and helpful.
From the hotel, it is easy to reach the city center of Antwerp and the central train station. There is a tram stop close to the Plaza hotel so other parts of Antwerp can be easily reached.

Stayed in Antwerp on a £169 three night Eurostar deal. Three nights at the Plaza included in the £169 total cost (incl Eurostar travel) so not sure how much the room actually cost.
Hotel room was large and had two single beds to make a very large double. Bathroom had a large bath with shower. Twin sinks and a seperate toilet room.
Free safe in room and internet access was only 5 euros per day if you needed it.
Good minibar with reasonable prices. There is a convenience shop about 100m from the hotel.
Breakfast had a good selection and best of all you can eat between 7am and 11am so if you are on holiday you do not have to get up early!
Bad bits: Shower fittings were broken. Electric sockets were very loose and old. TV was very quiet and would not go louder. Bit noisy if you opened the window as the hotel is situated on a main road.
Three nights sleep was ok. Although one night some drunken English tourists managed to get stuck in the lift at 4am and woke us up as they hammered on the lift doors to try and get out.

Very comfortable hotel. The staff were friendly and the rooms was a good size. Breakfast was good with lots of different variety - cooked food, cold meats, cereal, fruit, toast, etc.
We stayed for four nights on a Eurostar deal which made the trip very economical. Some noise from the corridor, but not enough to worry about. Heard nothing from the adjoining rooms.
If you don't like walking (or if the weather is not good) there is a tram stop just around the corner from the hotel which takes you right into the city centre. Trams are frequent and cheap.
Would happily stay there again.
