We stayed in the Lindner Hotel in Leukerbad in February 2008. The Hotel is centrally located in the small village Leukerbad. The Rooms are nice (a bit oldfashioned) as I expect it from a 4 * Hotel. But the best things about the hotel are definitely the Hotel-Wellness-Area (pool, "grottenbad", outside pool, sauna) and the great breakfast-buffet! I am looking forward to go back there soon.

Sono stato al Lindner Hotel durante il ponte di Ognissanti: camera piccola e con vista sul vicolo retrostante (con la gente che passa quasi all'altezza della finestra): avrebbe dovuto avere la vista sulle montagne! Ristorante carino, ma cibo indigeribile; il personale della reception è poco simpatico e a volte scortese; la prima colazione è assolutamente dozzinale; si sono "dimenticati" di darmi i biglietti per l'ingresso alle Alpentherme a cui avevo diritto, e ho sempre utilizzato le terme interne all'albergo (carine e funzionali); al checkout volevano inoltre "per errore" farmi pagare due volte i trattamenti e i massaggi ricevuti; la camera veniva rifatta verso le 3 o le 4 del pomeriggio. In sintesi: un albergo da 4 stelle che in realtà ne vale 3, con personale non adeguato, in cui si paga salato la vicinanza e la comodità di accesso tramite corridoio interno alle Alpentherme e che a parte la struttura termale interna non ha servizi degni di nota da offrire.

Le Lindner Alpentherme est vraiment un bel hotel, le personnel sympathique (très marrant quand ils parlent le francais) et le centre de thalasothérapie juste à côté est vraiment parfait.... Les bains étaient vraiment fabuleux et les massages très agréables. Suite à ce voyage très convaincant, j'ai décidé d'aller au valais tous les ans en novembre pour manger une petite raclette et séjourner dans un de nos superbes hotels. Celui la vaut vraiment le coup. Juste un petit détail, je leur avait confié ma valise le jour de mon départ et ils me l'ont perdue (une italienne l'avait prise et elle a du me la renvoyer par la poste) donc faites attention si vous confiez votre valise... Bon séjour!!!

When booking a 4* hotel, I was expecting some kind of nice service... I had booked a non-smoking room but when I arrived they gave me a smoking room. I complained but there was no other room available in the category I have booked so I had to go to a lower category. The room was very small and the bed was more a child bed. My window was on the mountain side so no sun during the whole day was entering in the room. Another suprise if you have a car... the only way to park it is to pay CHF 14.00 per night. They take your car to park it which is fine. When I left, I claimed about the price difference for the room. As I had booked through a website and not directly to the hotel, they said that I have to ask it to the operator. Then I asked for my car and it took about 10-15 minutes until the guy came finally back with it. He came out of my car with the newspaper?! nice to use my car to buy the newspaper... he gave me the key and left. I had to put myself my luggages in my car!!! Back home, I contacted the operator for the reimbursement. They answered me that the hotel was not willing to reimburse me!!!! I had to fight and finally I got the difference back but believe me... never in that hotel again!

We stayed at the Lindner Alpentherme, Leukerbad, Switzerland for Christmas 2006. We were very disappointed with the hotel room - very basic and dated. We were booked in for 4 days over Xmas as part of a tour & told prior to the trip, to look at the Lindner website to check out the rooms & all that the hotel offered. The rooms on the website looked well appointed and modern. Unfortunately, our room was not. We arrived at the supposed 5 star accommodation & were sent to the building NEXT to the main building. It seemed more 3 star than 5 star. Our room was very basic, the sprayed concrete walls gave a dated feel to the whole room. The furniture was chipped & faded. No airconditioning. We had a green & dated bathroom. The shower gave such a light spray it was very annoying. Everytime you turned on the light in the bathroom a noisy extractor fan turned on (you couldn’t turn it off) so it was impossible to have a relaxing shower or bath if you wanted the light on. Of course, without a window the bathroom without a light was pitch black. Breakfast was held in the main building & we felt like second class citizens as we returned to our dull room. It was touted as a luxurious resort & while we enjoyed the range of spa treatments and massages, the room was very disappointing. I would suggest that if you want to book at the resort, make sure of the exact location of your room. Check which building it's in. The main building seems to be the modern facility. The location of the resort is spectacular as you can see from the photos.
