Nice Hotel, but no free wireless

The staff is friendly, the location fantastic, and the view nice. I splurged for a Royal Executive room. It was nice. Not amazing, but nice. My only complaint (and it bugs the hell out of me) is that they charge $18/day for wireless internet. When will hotels learn that nickel and diming your customers is no way to get repeat business?

We stayed at the Carlton Tel Aviv for 2 nights. We paid $310 for each room which seems to be less than the average rate listed here. However, for $310 we got a standard room overlooking the ugly concrete area described by another reviewer. Our balcony was useless as the room overlooked a busy street, run down apartments and the roof of a sleezy looking hotel next door. That price did not include breakfast. The pool area was beautiful, as advertised, but was so small the four of us couldn't even find seats together. The water was freezing. The location is OK but not great.
The room was comfortable and clean, but we could have done better. Paying $18/day for wireless also irked us.
The best thing about not getting breakfast was that we found a lovely breakfast restaurant on Rothschild Street - Bennidict Blvd.

I stayed for one night at the Carlton. I had a room on the 11th floor. Breakfast was OK but nothing special. Room was good but not outstanding. Staff were helpful. However to say it is better than say the Hilton where I also stayed during my visit is plain wrong.
